The 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational Presented by MasterCard Recap

Bay Hill, FL – Russel Henley has won The 2025 Arnold Palmer Invitational.  This marks his first PGA Tour win since 2022 and his fifth PGA Tour win overall.  Along with the trophy and Arnold’s iconic red cardigan, he brings home a prize of $4 million.

Colin Morikawa came into the final round with a lead, and Arnold Palmer’s notoriously difficult Bay Hill Club & Lodge kept the event competitive.  Up until the final few holes, Morikawa had maintained his lead.  That was until Henley unexpectedly chipped in from the rough on the 16th hole for an eagle.  That flipped the script, and going into the last hole, he was able to maintain his one-shot lead for the win with a score of 11-under par.

After finishing the round, Henley spoke to journalists and revealed that despite hardly reacting to that epic chip in, he was hardly able to control his nerves.  This win meant a lot to him personally and professionally.  With it, he catapulted up both the World Rankings and the FedEx Cup standings to be top 10 and 2nd place, respectively.

While he didn’t end up winning the event, Ryder Cup Captain Keegan Bradley stole the show in his final round.  He was the first player to shoot a 29 in 9 holes at Bay Hill and tied the lowest score of the event by shooting a 64.  Finishing the tournament at 7-under, he would earn a T5 finish.

Next week’s event will be The Players, the PGA Tour’s most prestigious event outside the four majors.  The field will feature 48 of the top 50 players in the world.  While it is a tournament that will bring out the highest level of competition in everyone, Scottie Scheffler is undoubtedly the player with the most to play for.  If he won, he would earn his third Player’s Championship title and pull off the incredibly rare PGA tournament three-peat and would be the first ever to accomplish that feat at The Players Championship.
