Revo Announces the Launch of the Limited-Edition Moonwalker Zero G Frame
EAST RUTHERFORD, NJ – Revo, the iconic performance eyewear brand that was founded in 1985 and is known for the “Best Lens on Earth”, announced the release of a limited edition frame called the Moonwalker Zero G. Timed to the celebrations around the 50th anniversary of the history-defining lunar landing, the frame’s launch is positioned to honor Revo’s NASA technology roots and its partnership with Astronaut Pete Conrad.
Conrad, the third man to walk on the moon during Apollo 12’s mission, was also Revo’s first brand ambassador in 1988. He was featured in a campaign with the cheeky tagline: “Introducing Something Else Launched by the Space Program”. Pete was a natural partner, as Revo was also “launched by the space program” by its founder, Dr. Mitch Ruda. Ruda, a NASA astrophysicist and optical engineer, was working on a project to develop special coatings to protect satellite porthole windows from space radiation. Being an avid skier, he considered how this technology could also filter the full spectrum of light in the form of eyewear. He applied this innovation to a pair of sunglasses and Revo, the cutting-edge performance eyewear brand, was born.
The Moonwalker Zero G is a re-creation of the very aviators designed for Pete’s campaign, reimagined for the present day in premium materials including super lightweight titanium, a two-tone chrome finish, dual color handmade acetate temples and shatterproof Serilium+ lenses. Only 500 individually numbered pairs of the frame have been produced in total and the limited-edition style will come packaged in a commemorative box with a reprint of the archival 1988 Revo ad featuring Pete Conrad.
Revo produces 100% polarized collections that lead the performance eyewear industry using its signature and proprietary Light Management System™ – a technology that manages the full spectrum of light including harmful Blue Light and HEV Light.

tasc Performance Unveils MicroAir Polo Collection
NEW ORLEANS, LA – tasc Performance, a New Orleans based lifestyle brand renowned for designing original fabrics and comfortable apparel with sustainable fibers, is thrilled to release the MicroAir Polo Collection. Inspired by both overcoming an industry-wide reliance on chemical finishes that mimic performance and a recent lack of innovation in golf apparel, tasc took on the challenge to innovate a unique fabric technology that performs (naturally), with incomparable comfort, and is produced in a responsible way.
The MicroAir Polo Collection utilizes MicroModal fiber, known for its softness and breathability, blended with an ultra-fine micro-polyester creating a smooth, soft, and lightweight profile. “We saw a need for a lighter weight, but durable, easy to wear fabric that could separate from the skin and drape nicely, while moving moisture and drying fast. We combined nature, using MicroModal fibers from beechwood trees, and innovative spinning and fabric finishing methods to achieve a fabric that performs naturally,” said tasc Co-Founder, Todd Andrews.
Other brands use 100% synthetic fabrics treated with multiple chemical finishes to achieve performance attributes, such as moisture wicking. These basic fabrics do not breathe and the finishes can degrade through washing cycles. The consumer is then left with a basic polyester synthetic garment with no performance benefits, and the shirt ultimately becomes landfill.
Adapting MicroModal to blend with fine denier micropoly requires a highly technical spinning method that is uncommon in the industry. Perfecting the spinning process is what allows MicroAir to achieve a wearing-experience that balances comfort and performance, the natural and the technical, in a way that meets the versatile demands of the modern lifestyle, according to Andrews.
The tasc brand is distributed through multiple specialty-retail channels, destination resorts, national events, and through their flagship store in New Orleans. In recent years, tasc has made strides to become a premier brand within the golf industry. In Spring of 2018, tasc signed 3-time PGA champion Scott Stallings as a tasc athlete: “Now more than ever, I stress the importance of what’s comfortable and healthy for my body. I’ve tried hundreds of golf shirts in my career, but the overall quality and performance of MicroAir is in a league of its own. It’s the softest fabric I’ve ever felt,” said Stallings. In addition to partnering with Stallings, tasc also plays an active role on the PGA Tour and will appear at more than 14 PGA events this year.
