New Scottsdale TEC Putters Employ Eye-Tracking Research to Advance Alignment Technology
PHOENIX, AZ – A new alignment technology developed using eye-tracking research, high-MOI mallet designs, and a striking white finish distinguish the new Scottsdale TEC putter line, PING CEO & President John K. Solheim announced today.
The Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue Onset, Ketsch Onset and Hayden are available for pre-order at PING authorized retailers around the world beginning today. The U.S. MSRP for each putter is $435.
Eye Q Alignment Technology
The Scottsdale TEC (Tour Elevated Concepts) putters were developed using eye‑tracking research rooted in a visual performance philosophy known as Quiet Eye — how golfers visually engage with the putter before the stroke. In putting, Quiet Eye describes the duration of a player’s final gaze fixation on the ball, with longer durations consistently linked to higher skill and better performance. PING engineers tested multiple alignment prototypes while golfers wore Tobii eye‑tracking glasses. This enabled precise measurement of where, how long, and how consistently players focused their attention. The data revealed that certain alignment designs better stabilized gaze and extended Quiet Eye duration, directly leading to stronger visual control and improved putting performance.
This new alignment technology, called Eye Q, provides a distinct focal point on the top rail of Scottsdale TEC putters. By combining a focal point with a long alignment line, the design helps naturally quiet the player’s eyes before the stroke, making it easier to center and maintain a stable gaze at the critical moment. This visual stability is key to enhancing the Quiet Eye period.
Onset Models
The Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue and Ketsch models are engineered with an onset shaft position, which places the shaft near the center line of the putter head, behind the top rail and ahead of the CG to provide golfers with a full-face view of the ball at address. The response to the onset models on the professional tours has been very favorable, with several players putting one in play, including Tony Finau, who has seen significant improvement in his PGA Tour putting stats.
“Pull” the Center of Gravity
As with all PING putters, the center of gravity in every Scottsdale TEC model is positioned behind the shaft axis to ensure it is pulled through the stroke for stability and less twisting. This preserves the torque and dynamic feel of the putter and allows for stroke-type fitting to match a golfer’s needs. This theory was employed from the beginning by PING founder Karsten Solheim, who often used a wheelbarrow analogy to make his point. He described how much easier and more stable it was to pull a wheelbarrow over a curb instead of pushing it over.
Multi-Material Forgiveness
The lightweight aluminum body and dense stainless steel sole plate position mass low and to the perimeter in the Scottsdale TEC putters to ensure extreme MOI and optimal CG for high forgiveness and consistent roll. Weight savings from the PEBAX insert cavity also provide discretionary mass to further optimize performance.
Repsonsive Feel
The Scottsdale TEC putter’s one-piece insert is made of PEBAX, an elastomer commonly used in the soles of athletic shoes for its elastic properties. The lightweight, high-energy-return compound delivers a soft and responsive feel, leading to improved distance control and consistency.
WebFit Putter App Updated
PING also updated the WebFit Putter app with the new Scottsdale TEC series. The web-based fitting tool is developed in-house and is a quick and easy experience to help golfers find the PING putter that best fits their game.
SCOTTSDALE TEC MODEL DESCRIPTIONS
Ally Blue Onset
Confidence-inspiring at address, Scottsdale TEC Ally Blue’s new Eye Q Technology makes aiming easier. The shaft sits behind the face, allowing a clear view of the ball while providing the forgiveness of a mallet with the feel of a blade. The PEBAX insert delivers a soft and responsive feel for consistent distance control.
Ally Blue Onset CB (Counter Balanced)
Combines a longer shaft and grip with the Ally Blue Onset mallet head design. The CB is paired with a mid-length shaft (37.75″) and a 17-inch SuperStroke grip. The longer grip gives players the option to grip down farther, which adds stability during the stroke.
Ketsch Onset
Tour-proven Ketsch design integrates Eye Q Technology and three prominent lines to make accurate aim easier in this Scottsdale TEC mallet. The shaft sits behind the face, allowing a clear view of the ball while providing the forgiveness of a mallet with the feel of a blade. The PEBAX insert delivers a soft and responsive feel for consistent distance control.
Hayden
The Scottsdale TEC Hayden mallet putter combines a heel-shafted orientation with a long alignment line to draw the eye forward, concentrating the golfer’s focus on the small dot on the top rail to make aiming easier for sinking putts. The PEBAX insert delivers a soft and responsive feel for consistent distance control.

Turtleson Reinvents the Polo in Spring 2026 Collection
BRISTOL, TN – Turtleson, creators of striking, sophisticated apparel for discerning customers who appreciate exceptional style and wearability, unveiled its spring apparel line today. The collection focuses on multiple polo constructions in more than 100 color and pattern offerings to breathe life into your spring wardrobe.
“Our goal with the new spring line was to offer collections that can go wherever the day leads, and to offer them in fresh and appealing colors to fit any style,” said Greg Oakley, co-founder and CEO of Turtleson. “We combined innovative fabric technologies, thoughtful constructions and elevated details to deliver effortless yet polished styles, so you look and feel your best each time you wear it.”
The highlight of the collection, Turtleson’s iconic performance polo lineup, features multiple fabric technologies for added comfort and polish. Each performance polo features the exclusive Standwell Collar, developed by Turtleson’s design team to keep the collar crisp without the need for additional buttons or stays. As seen in the men’s August ($135) and the women’s Andrea ($115) polos, the bonded fabric Standwell Collar balances mobility with structure that will not wash or wear out. Turtleson’s performance polos are also intentionally crafted with full-dull yarn for a softer feel and more natural look, eliminating the sheen seen in many competitors’ performance apparel.
Turtleson’s new spring collection also features Diamond Knit polos with drirelease® technology, combining natural and synthetic yarns for four-times faster moisture wicking than standard performance knit polos with no chemicals or irritants. Diamond Knit options such as the men’s Hayden ($145) or women’s Juliana ($125) polos regulate body temperature by keeping the skin up to seven degrees Fahrenheit cooler, making them a superior choice for outdoor activities and warm spring days.
While all-natural fiber construction has regained popularity, it never left Turtleson’s collections. The new spring line also features 100 percent cotton polos for when performance fabrics feel too sporty. The Duncan Solid ($115), Duncan Stripe ($120) and Duncan Dot ($125) polos are made of all-natural cotton and come in multiple fresh colors, including a stunning Azalea pink just in time for the first major golf tournament of the year.
As always, each Turtleson polo features its signature 11-stitch button as a nod to the brand’s founding in 2011.
Turtleson’s spring collection is available now online at turtleson.com and in select retailers and pro shops around the world.
