2018 A Military Tribute at the Greenbrier Recap

White Sulphur Springs, WV – Kevin Na captures an emotional first PGA Tour win since 2011 at The Greenbrier in West Virginia. Na shot a final round 64 which was good enough to win by 5-strokes!

Na was tied for 3rd going into the final round after vaulting up the leaderboard with a Saturday afternoon round of 65. Na sat one shot back of the lead when he teed off on Sunday but birdied 5 of his first 9 holes to give himself a comfortable lead as he started on the back. With only one bogey on the back to go along with 2 more birdies, Na walked up 18 enjoying his soon-to-be victory and a 19 under-par finish at the Greenbrier.

Kevin Na’s secret to his victory Sunday was his putter. Coming into the tournament, Kevin was 82nd in strokes gained putting on the 2018 PGA Tour season but in his 4 rounds at The Greenbrier, he was 2nd in that category and 3rd for the final round! He also had the highest one-putt percentage for the week making over 400 feet of putts!

Na also spoke emotionally after his win in both English and Korean, demonstrating how important his home country is to him and his family.

A Military Tribute at the Greenbrier is in its 8th year hosting this PGA Tournament at The Old White TPC Course in West Virginia. However, this is only the 7th champion they have crowned after severe rain and flooding devastated the grounds in 2016, cancelling the entire tournament.

Next week, the PGA Tour heads to Illinois for the John Deere Classic in preparation for The Open Championship at Carnoustie.
