Introduction
If you are experiencing some déjà vu – don’t click away. The PAYNTR All Day SC does resemble the PAYNTR Match Day SC [review HERE] Matt reviewed earlier, but they are indeed distinct models. Both are part of the Jason Day Classic Collection, which also includes the cleated Eighty Seven SC [review HERE]. While all the models share plenty of visible features, I’ll point out some not so obvious differences throughout this review.
Looks
The PAYNTR All Day SC takes the clean, premium looks of the Classic Collection and elevates it to a fashion statement with the glossy toe cap. The piping that surrounds the shoes at the uppers/midsole interface is a lovely deep bronze that’s very distinctive. The signature “X” on the side of the shoe and accent on the tip of the tongue add to a cohesive look. The only element that detracts from the unified look to my eyes is the silver triple “X” section on the heel.

The sole of the All Day SC is quintessential PAYNTR – super cool. There are so many intriguing elements it’s hard to take it all in with a quick glance. There’s the barrage of clear traction elements. The large, deep blue “X” in the heel. And the window that reveals the midsole and “PMX SPEED PLT” – more on that in the Performance section.
The PAYNTR All Day SC is available in three colorways: white, grey, and a spiffy white with navy combo.
Comfort
Before even slipping on the PAYNTR All Day SC, the soft and supple Clarino Trivela microfiber uppers foreshadowed comfort. The shoes truly have a premium feel in your hands. As for my feet, sans socks, I couldn’t detect any seams or materials that might become irritants. With socks on, the PAYNTR All Day SC provided a wonderful fit – secure without feeling tight across my forefoot, with a tad of wiggle room for my toes. My heels were also secure and there wasn’t a hint of pinch around my ankles.

Underfoot, the Ortholite footbed had a tad of compression and a nice contour of arch support. For reference, the Match Day SC utilizes a PMXNitro+ footbed. Walking in the PAYNTR All Day SC was a breeze, with natural flow and nice cushioning. Overall, the shoes felt lightweight on my feet – a testament to the materials PAYNTR designers utilized. As I found with prior PAYNTR golf shoes, the All Day SC are good to go right out of the box.
Performance
Classifying the All Day SC as spikeless isn’t fair to other brands with shoes in that category. The sheer number, depth, and variety of traction elements is impressive. I never encountered a situation where the traction of the All Day SC was in question. The shoes may be called “All Day,” but that designation is for the golf course and practice facilities – the aggressive sole design doesn’t lend itself to a half day at the office or strolling through the grocery store.
An interesting aspect of the clear elements on the sole is their flexibility. The traction nubs are easily moved with a push of my thumb. In my engineer mind, that flexibility adds to performance when factoring in the change of direction your feet encounter during a golf swing and the variations of the ground surface.

Speaking of change of direction, remember the “PMX SPEED PLT” I mentioned in Looks? That’s a full-length carbon fiber propulsion plate designed to “harness ground reaction forces more effectively.” This is one of the differences between the All Day SC and the Match Day SC, where the latter utilizes a CARBITEX GearFlex propulsion plate. PAYNTR doesn’t elaborated on the technical differences, but I can concur with Matt that the propulsion plate “provides rigidity during the swing without being uncomfortably stiff when walking.”
Wrapping up this section, it’s worth sharing this bullet point: “Full WATERPROOF & breathable membrane fused to lining and sealed with bottom gasket.” I always appreciate when OEM’s provide details about the construction of their shoes and PAYNTR also includes a great graphic on their website. That said, there’s no stated waterproof warranty. The All Day SC did keep my feet dry during a brief summer downpour. As for breathability, the All Day SC performed well in keeping my feet comfortable even with absurdly hot temperatures.
Conclusion
Having reviewed PAYNTR golf shoes for several years, I never appreciated the “X” logo until I focused on the “Performance Multiplied” on the box of the All Day SC. With all the high-tech features PAYNTR incorporated into the All Day SC golf shoes, that slogan truly rings true. Add in fashion forward looks and amazing comfort and the PAYNTR All Day SC is an outstanding spikeless golf shoe. For a slightly more modest look and upgraded components, check out the Match Day SC.
