The Sunday Golf Creator duffel bag is one of the most flexible ways to tote your stuff. Room for up to three pairs of shoes. Customizable shelves for easy access to your gear. Highly organized pockets.

Introduction
When I hear the words “duffel bag”, I think of a big, shapeless sack with a single zipper along the top. That does not come close to describing the Sunday Golf Creator duffel bag. This bag was purpose built for “creators and sneakerheads”, so if you fit either of those descriptions – or you just enjoy unique luggage – read on.

Looks
With it’s structured, rectangular look, the Sunday Golf Creator duffel bag looks more like a small cooler than your traditional floppy duffel bag. That structure is what makes it great for your expensive gear, but we’ll dive into that later.

The Creator duffel bag is available in just one colorway, the black/blue shown here, but that’s perfect for me. Though the blue is fairly prominent for an accent color, this is a bag anyone could use because black goes with everything.
Sunday Golf kept the branding understated with “Golf Projects” and “Sunday Golf” embroidered on the shoulder strap in black-on-black. The only other exterior branding is a pair of small tags on the bag’s right edge.

Features
Features may seem like a weird category for a duffel bag to excel in, but this is not your ordinary duffel. The first things you’ll see when you open it up are the two removable shoe/packing cubes. As you can see above, one way to use the Sunday Golf Creator duffel bag is to slide both cubes into their appropriate slots and go.

These removable cubes held my size 13 TRUE Lux Players [review HERE] with no issue. And while they’re built for shoes, you can use them for anything you need to tote. I found that my drone case fit neatly into one slot, or you can use them to keep your apparel organized.

The other standout feature is the “modular camera divider”. Look carefully at the picture above, and you’ll notice that the sides of the right compartment are made of velcro. This allows you to set in two shelves at whatever height you choose.

Perhaps this type of storage system is common in the world of camera bags, but I’ve never seen anything like it before, and it blew my mind. Thanks to the zippered entry on the bag’s right side (above), you can get to any level of the shelving instantly. As the name indicates, this is made for people with multiple cameras and lenses, but it could be used for any type of gear that you want to keep organized and accessible.

That takes care of the main compartment, but it’s far from all that the Sunday Golf Creator duffel bag has in store. On the back, there’s a laptop sleeve. On the front, there’s a slim zippered pocket and MOLLE loops. Finally, each of the “flaps” – both sides and the top – has built-in storage. There are six zippered pockets and two non-zippered pockets, so you’ll run out of gear to organize long before you run out of places to stash it.

Performance
Given it’s rigid, rectangular shape, the first question I asked was, “Can this thing fly?” While I’m sure some airlines will say no, the Sunday Golf Creator duffel bag does fit within the TSA limits for a carry-on bag. It measures 17″ X 13″ X 9″ and the limits are 22″ X 14″ X 9″. For those concerned with weight, it tips the scales at 5.5 pounds.

Going back to that word “rigid”, what I like about the Creator bag is that it protects your gear. No one in their right mind would throw an expensive camera lens or drone into a regular duffle bag, at least not without some additional protection. With the Creator, you can keep all your gear “naked” and accessible without fear that it’s going to get smashed. Also, though I hope this isn’t a daily concern for most, the material is “water resistant”.

Ultimately, the thing that will keep me using this bag is the combination of capacity, versatility, and organization. I’ve been using it to store my shoes and camera supplies along with some odds and ends for the course. It’s ready to go if I’m in a hurry to document a round. I can also, in just a few seconds, turn it into a perfect weekend (or longer) bag. All the organization means I don’t have to start the trip by upending the whole thing to find my phone charger.

Value
The Sunday Golf Creator duffel bag retails for $275, but is on sale for $250 at time of this writing. Please consider supporting Plugged In Golf by buying it HERE.
If you want a plain duffel bag, this is not a good value. You can get a Herschel duffel for around $100; I’ve had one for years and love it. The Sunday Golf Creator duffel bag is for the person who wants to take advantage of its unique features. If you’re that person, particularly if you’re toting expensive camera gear, this bag is worth every penny.

Conclusion
The Sunday Golf Creator duffel bag is something I didn’t know I needed and now don’t want to live without. This is one of the most versatile pieces of travel gear I’ve ever seen, and it’s a perfect solution for anyone who travels with a lot of valuable or fragile gear that they want easy access to.
