2013 Walker Cup

US Wins Walker Cup 17-9

SOUTHAMPTON, N.Y. – A week that began with a trip to Ground Zero ended with an American celebration on hallowed ground.

The United States of America regained the Walker Cup on Sunday at famed National Golf Links of America, site of the inaugural Match 91 years ago, with a resounding 17-9 victory over Great Britain and Ireland.

Wyndham study helps Svoboda to playoff win at Chiquita Classic

DAVIDSON, N.C. – Andrew Svoboda two-putted the first extra hole to win the Chiquita Classic, the second of four Tour Finals’ events, in a playoff over Will MacKenzie.

Svoboda posted a final-round 70 at River Run Country Club to finish at 12-under and tied with MacKenzie (67), who chipped in for eagle on the par-5, 18th in regulation.

Ben Martin (68) and John Peterson (71) tied for third, one-stroke back. Ryo Ishikawa (66) finished two off the pace.
