Wilson Staff Redefines The Golf Carry Bag With neXus

CHICAGO, October 9, 2013 – Wilson Staff has completely reengineered the golf carry bag with the introduction of the neXus. Defined as “a means of connection”, the word neXus perfectly complements this carry bag as its unique external structure, known as exo-frame technology, supports a firm, technically-styled modern golf bag.

The neXus bag consists of Wilson Staff’s newly designed 360° integrated mechanism, in which the head-treated aluminum frame connects the spine, top, stand and base. Each part works interdependently to keep the base in full contact with the ground even while the legs are extended. When the curved base makes contact with the ground, a smooth, reactive stand activates the legs to kick out immediately. Both the spine and top possess comfort TPR molded handles for a solid hand grip and for easy mounting on and off the golf trolley or cart.

Weighing just 4.8 pounds, the neXus remains lightweight with sufficient storage pocketing for golf equipment and accessories, among large belongings like garments. The 2014 neXus line introduces four trendy color options tailored to the golfer seeking a contemporary and distinctive look on the course.

Additional information:
• Top dimensions: 9″ deep x 8″ wide (5-way divider)
• Pockets: large garment, two external, valuables (with sealed waterproof zipper), large accessories, golf ball, GPS/range finder sleeve and insulated beverage sleeve
• Color options: white, red, blue, black
• Manufacturer’s Advertised Pricing: $199.99

Functionality and Geometry Make the Wilson Staff Performance the Cart Bag of Choice

The Wilson Staff Performance cart bag is the latest option for cart or trolley golfers.

Built with various technical features and a premium polyethyelene tube construction, the Performance is both sturdy and durable with a modern look.

The placement and geometry of the pockets are designed to easily retrieve belongings; the GPS pocket is located near the top, while three golf ball holders can be accessed externally.

The Performance features a new exclusive top with a putter well that accounts for oversized grips. The handles on the back and sides promote easy mounting on and off the cart or trolley. In addition, a groove on the bottom locks in with the trolley’s base to secure its position on flat and hilly terrains.

The golf cart’s strap slides through a loop above the accessories pocket to constrict movement of the bag throughout the round. The polyester fabric combined with leather accenting and high-quality zippering create a classy bag with three exciting color options.

Additional information:
• Top dimensions: 11″ deep x 8.5″ wide (14-way divider)
• Weight: 9.3lb
• Pockets: two large garment (one with expandable zipper), four external, two side base pockets, GPS/range finder sleeve, accessories, large insulated, umbrella holder
• Color options: white, blue, black
• Logos can be embroidered on the front beverage pocket
• Manufacturer’s Advertised Pricing: $199.99

Classic Design Meets Tour-Proven Technology In Nike’s New Method MOD Putters

Popular putter models from the past inspire a new premium line featuring Polymetal Groove Technology
BEAVERTON, Ore. (October 8, 2013) – Divide a second by 1,000. Now divide that in half. That’s how little time it takes to launch a golf ball that is just over an inch-and-a-half in diameter from where it sits nestled on a green. Nike’s Polymetal Groove technology allows athletes to tackle this challenge with more consistency and confidence than ever before – and that same innovative technology paves the way for modern performance in Nike Golf’s new line of classically-designed Nike Method MOD putters, available November 1.Inspired by some of the most popular putter models of the past four decades, Nike Golf engineers combined tradition and innovation to craft the newest tech-savvy additions to the Method family. Timeless styles and shapes are updated with a unique arc design profile, red detailing and satin chrome finish to round out a line of four premium, milled putters that offer the ultimate in Tour-proven performance.”We were able to take a range of classic designs and make them perform like modern putters,” says David Franklin, Nike Golf Master Modelmaker. “We incorporated Polymetal Groove technology, which allows athletes to lift the ball, launch it and turn it forward as quickly as possible for a truer roll. We removed weight from the center, placing it in the heel and toe instead for a lower and deeper center of gravity. It’s Nike’s interpretation on classic, familiar shapes.”

Each Nike Method MOD putter is weighted to length to ensure proper feel, and the line offers a range of toe hang options determined by where the weight is in relationship to the putter head. This allows athletes to choose a model to his or her personal preference for optimal forgiveness, roll and accuracy: MOD 00 (face-balanced); MOD 30 (30 degrees of toe hang); MOD 60 (60 degrees of toe hang); and MOD 90, (90 degrees of toe hang).

Nike Method MOD putters will be available on November 1 at select retailers and on Nike.com.

Wilson Staff Prototype Ball Wins in Europe

CHICAGO, October 10, 2013 – Wilson Staff professional Steen Tinning advanced to the top position on the European
Senior Tour Order of Merit with a victory at the English Senior Open last week. The Dane took his second win as a
Senior Tour rookie using the brand new prototype FG Tour golf ball.

Armed with Wilson Staff FG Tour V2 irons and FG Tour TC wedges, Tinning shot a dominant third round of 63 and a final round finish of birdie-birdie-par, holding off the field en route to the trophy. “My iron and wedge games have both been extremely reliable, which has allowed me to relax my thoughts on the greens and earn crucial birdies,” commented Tinning.

On the seventeenth hole, he hit his FG Tour V2 four-iron to six feet leading to a birdie. In his words, it was “the four-iron of the year.”

Tinning, who is only the second multiple winner on the European Senior Tour this season, captured the Berenberg Masters in August and now enjoys a first place tour ranking. Recent success with his Wilson Staff prototype golf ball sheds tour-proven attention on a product that has not yet been released to consumers.

Designed by the leader in low compression technology – Wilson Staff – this new FG Tour golf ball will provide an extremely soft feel along with an advanced four-piece construction for superior shot-making Tour playability.

“We are well aware that there is not one ball for every player,” admits General Manager of Wilson Golf, Tim Clarke. “We are honest with ourselves and consumers, and that is why our golf ball platform sets golfers with different swings up for success. The new FG Tour is engineered for players who demand soft feel and higher-spinning greenside performance, thus proving to be the golf ball Steen is relying on for his winning play. Obviously it’s working.”

The new Wilson Staff FG Tour golf ball will be available at retail in January 2014.
