A Cover Worthy of Our National Championship
To kick off the major championship season in April, CRU Golf released its first Major Collection headcovers. Now, to celebrate the US Open, they’ve unveiled the second Major Collection cover of 2016.
If you were expecting a copy of the first Major Collection cover in a red, white, and blue colorway, you don’t know CRU. This totally fresh design features multiple types of leather, from the incredibly supple Stealth Black body to the white patent leather diamond patch, all expertly constructed by craftsmen here in America. I really can’t emphasize enough how soft this cover is straight out of the box. It’s at once well-worn and brand new, and it easily slides onto even the largest modern drivers.
This second Major Collection cover also boasts the CRU Golf logo in “CRU Blue,” a feature that will be unique to the Major Collection headcovers moving forward.
Just like the first Major Collection headcover, you can expect to see these covers in play at Oakmont this year. I don’t know the complete roster, and I’m not supposed to use names for sponsorship reasons, but you should be on the look out for these covers in the bags of Cobra Golf’s two most prominent young players.
If you want to add one of these covers to your bag, they can be purchased through the CRU Golf website. They’re available in driver, fairway wood, and hybrid sizes with a variety of different emblems. You will need to act fast – these covers will only be available until the week of the next major championship.
