Vessel Lux Cart 2.0 Golf Bag Review

50 Words or Less

The Vessel Lux Cart 2.0 golf bag has a refined, upscale look.  Vessel lets you make your stock bag special with personalization or create your own look with customization.  The premium materials and well-executed design will keep your gear organized and safe, you happy, and your playing partners envious.

Introduction

Is this your first time seeing a Vessel golf bag?  If you said ‘yes’ and watch a lot of golf, then chances are good that you’re mistaken.  Jordan Speith, or more accurately Michael Greller, and over 70 other PGA and LPGA players’ caddies carry Vessel bags.  Although those are custom Vessel staff bags, the same tour quality and customization is available in other styles like the Lux Cart 2.0 golf bag of this review.

Style

Offered in four basic colorways, Vessel Lux Cart 2.0 bags have a clean, upscale style.  No flashy graphics or huge brand logos.

Beyond the unique ID in the side pocket, you can make the bag truly one of a kind with complementary personalization on the belly pocket.   Adding a logo is just $65, which turns the bag into something special.  Really want to show your style?  Vessel offers complete customization with beautiful colors and textures for the various panels, accent lines, and even zippers.  Feeling creative?  Watch your design come to life with their online design tool.

Quality

As soon as my hand touched the Vessel Lux Cart 2.0 bag, I knew it was high quality.  The 100% microsuede-backed synthetic leather is soft and smooth with a premium feel.  The real leather zipper pulls are a generous size, while the zippers themselves operate smoothly.

Overall the bag feels sturdy and well-constructed, yet weighs in at only 6.75 lbs.  The lift handles stood out as exhibits of high quality in both materials and construction, making for a very comfortable lifting and loading experience.

Design & Performance

The Vessel Lux Cart 2.0 golf bag is designed to be strapped to the rear of a golf cart.  All the pockets and sleeves, each offering unique functionality, are accessed from the front of the bag.   The left large side pocket is insulated and designed to hold a dozen beverages.  It did keep an extra BEvERage I was carrying cold for several holes until it was needed.

I love the velour lined magnetic pocket located front and center – ideal for my range finder.  Just to the right of that is a velour lined, waterproof zippered pocket.  The concept is ok, but I found the pocket hard to get my hand in and out of.  The large right side pocket has a lockable interior pocket and mesh pouch to help keep things safe and organized.  On both sides of the belly ball pockets are insulated sleeves, which easily held my large Tempercraft water bottle.

The 9”, 14-way top keeps all your clubs organized and safe with padded mesh and full length dividers.  Pulling clubs or putting them back is simple and resistance free.  The single carry strap is well padded for comfortable toting.  The rigid bottom provides a stable base for standing the bag upright.

Giving Back

Vessel produces a variety of lifestyle bags that are worthy of your attention, but there’s one aspect of the company that is truly worth sharing – Buy a Bag, Give a Bag.  For every Vessel bag purchased, a school backpack is provided to a child in need.  To date, that’s almost 30,000 bags for students around the world.  Every Vessel bag comes with a unique ID so that you can feel a part of the mission to help children with education and brighter futures.

Conclusion

I’ve been extremely pleased with my Vessel Lux Cart 2.0 bag.  The design, materials, and construction are all well thought out and executed.  Customer service did an outstanding job of incorporating the PIG logos and turning a simple bag into a prized possession.  The number and variety of pockets is more than adequate for staying well stocked and organized.

After several weeks of use, the bag still looks new, and the few spills and scuffs I’ve encountered cleaned off easily.  I started following @vesselgolf and have been amazed at the creative designs posted from companies, organizations, and individuals.  Vessel makes it simple to have a quality golf bag that stands out in a crowd.
