The TRUE Linkswear Antigravity Leather golf shoe is a great looking shoe with incredible comfort.ย  Pebax midsole is the best shock absorber I’ve tested.ย  Go-anywhere sole provides good traction in most conditions.

Introduction

Those who visited TRUE Linkswear at January’s PGA Show saw this coming: 2026 is the year of Antigravity.ย  The first half of the year saw the release of the original [review HERE], followed swiftly by the Antigravity Pro [review HERE].ย  Now we’re getting the TRUE Linkswear Antigravity Leather, a shoe that takes the fantastic technology of the Antigravity family and blends it with a classic silhouette and premium materials.ย  If you want your footwear to look and feel elevated, this is the shoe for you.

Looks

It’s become a bit of a cliche in golf footwear, but the TRUE Linkswear Antigravity Leather is really a go anywhere golf shoe.ย  That ability comes from the combination of a classic, subdued style and premium materials.

To me, the TRUE Linkswear Antigravity Leather is the perfect homage: there’s a clear nod to the originator of this “classic silhouette” – the adidas Samba – but it’s also doing its own thing.ย  The mix of materials gives this shoe ample visual interest without a drop of “Look at me!” or a sharp age cutoff.

As is their style, TRUE Linkswear kept the branding minimal to let the materials shine.ย  “TRUE” appears on the tongue and heel tab in small font with modest contrast.ย  This allows your eyes to dig into the top-grain leather which looks (and feels) outstanding.

The TRUE Linkswear Antigravity Leather is offered in three colorways: Black, Grey (seen here), and Glacier White.ย  If I were the type who put more effort into his outfits, I would own these shoes in all three colors.ย  However, what’s great about the staple colors and understated style is that any of the three will look great with almost anything you could want to wear.

Within the Antigravity family, the Leather is a middle ground between the Antigravity (right) and Antigravity Pro (middle).ย  It’s more visually interesting than the Pro but more timeless than the original.ย  And, of course, the leather upper gives it a refined aesthetic. [See Price / Buy]

Comfort

If you’ve already seen my reviews of the Antigravity [HERE] and Antigravity Pro [HERE], you know what I’m about to say: theย TRUE Linkswear Antigravity Leather is one of the most comfortable shoes in golf or anywhere else.

I decided to crib from Matt Meeker and start my testing by wearing the Antigravity Leather without socks.ย  My feet searched for a single hard edge or rough seam but could not find one.ย  The interior of this shoe isn’t slipper-soft or over-cushioned, but it’s gentle on every inch of your foot.

There’s also plenty of space – these have a wide toe box just like the other Antigravity models.ย  There’s enough heel lock to keep your foot in place, but no break-in period required to get comfortable in these shoes.

All that said, the real star of the show is the Pebax Superfoam Midsole.ย  It’s still hard to wrap my head around: this shoe doesn’t make me feel like I’m walking on a pillow or disconnected from the ground, but nothing else comes close with regard to shock absorption.ย  I hate standing, it makes my lower back very unhappy, but I can stand for hours in Antigravity shoes and be no worse for the wear.ย  Similarly, these shoes make my right knee forget that it has a worn out meniscus.ย  For pure comfort, I’ve never worn anything like TRUE’s Antigravity shoes.

Performance

The one negative I expected with the TRUE Linkswear Antigravity Leather was weight.ย  Leather should be heavier than synthetic uppers, right?ย  Wrong.ย  According to TRUE Linkswear (and confirmed with my own measurements), the Antigravity Leather is the same weight as the original Antigravity, making it one of the lighter shoes in golf.ย  If you walk the course regularly, this is a big deal.ย  Just as we aim to shave every ounce off our golf bags to maintain our energy during the round, we should want lighter shoes to make our walk easier.

As a bonus, the TRUE Linkswear Antigravity Leather has light weight without giving up stability.ย  In fact, the Antigravity Leather scores a “Moderate” stability like the Antigravity Pro.ย  I think that rating is spot on.ย  This isn’t a full-on stability shoe that locks your foot down from heel to toe, but the fit is far from sloppy.ย  I found the laces impactful – a slightly stronger pull kept my foot in place even when I swung aggressively.

Turning to the sole, the TRUE Linkswear Antigravity Leather has the same “On & Off Course Tread” as the original Antigravity.ย  It gives you more grip than a regular shoe, but it won’t bite into the turf like the sole of the Antigravity Pro.ย  For a quick range session or a twilight nine, this is a fantastic shoe.ย  If you’re playing a casual round and heading straight to dinner, the Antigravity Leather is aces.ย  When you need to hit your longest drives and play great in all conditions, opt for the Antigravity Pro.

Finally, the Antigravity Leather comes with a one year waterproof warranty.ย  The leather upper has “laminated waterproof technology” that kept my feet dry as long as the water stayed below the laces.ย  Similar to my notes on the traction, this is a great shoe for the vast majority of all conditions.ย  If you’re intent on playing in a downpour, go with the Ascent [review HERE]. Conclusion

With the addition of Leather, TRUE’s Antigravity family becomes one of the most complete in golf.ย  This version gives you the namesake light weight, a versatile sole, and protection from the elements.ย  What sets theย TRUE Linkswear Antigravity Leather apart is the style that looks good in any setting.ย  If you want to extend the Antigravity’s next level comfort into more situations, add the Antigravity Leather to your roster.
