PUMA Golf Introduces Fashion-Forward Shoes for Women Golfers

CARLSBAD, Calif. (November 16, 2016) – Today, PUMA Golf introduced three new, fashion-forward golf shoes that will ensure ladies are primed and ready to hit the links in style.

The IGNITE Spikeless Sport Women’s (MSRP $120), designed with an athletic silhouette, is the perfect, eye-catching, lightweight spikeless footwear option for female golfers. This chic shoe utilizes a four-way stretch, waterproof mesh, coupled with a full-grain leather support saddle, that adapts to each unique foot shape for the perfect fit, keeping ladies dry and comfortable on and off the course. PUMA’s proprietary IGNITE Foam in the sole provides energy return, stable cushioning and superior step-in comfort.

“Our 2017 women’s line demonstrates our commitment and increased focus on the female consumer segment as we truly believe that the future is female. Women are looking for golf shoes that are designed for their specific needs – with added style, comfort and versatility,” said Grant Knudson, PUMA Golf’s Head of Footwear. “We focused on those elements when designing and developing our new ladies collection, and our women’s line up is the best it’s ever been. It’s never been easier to get fashion-forward golf styles without sacrificing comfort that can easily transition from the course to the clubhouse.”

PUMA Golf’s new water-resistant Tustin Slip-On (MSRP $80) shoe combines the look of an on-trend sneaker with the performance specs needed to create a great golf shoe. The slip-on construction with a reptile inspired print, coupled with a PU sockliner, offers a stylish, lightweight and comfortable package that golfers can take on and off with ease. The innovative hidden traction outsole provides a stylish profile, along with strategically placed hexagons and chevrons for multi-directional traction where it’s needed most. The Tustin Slip-On is available today in White/Aruba Blue; Black/Prism Pink and Silver/White.

Rounding out the new footwear for women in 2017 is the Tustin Saddle (MSRP $90) golf shoe that features a classic golf silhouette coupled with a reptile inspired saddle for a stylish look that is comfortable, lightweight, waterproof and ready for wear on and off the course.  While the Tustin Saddle utilizes the same GripZone traction and invisible traction outsole as the Slip-On version, it features a performance mesh upper that is comfortable, breathable and durable. A premium molded insole provides the ultimate in comfort, fit and long-lasting durability. The Tustin Saddle is available Nov. 20 in Drizzle/White/Knockout Pink and Black/White/Royal Purple.

Cutting-Edge Vertical Groove Driver Debuts; Golf Equipment Innovation To Change The Face Of Golf … Forever

USGA conforming golf club to revitalize driver category; signature “vertical grooves” design element proven to deliver greater distance and better accuracy

Boston, MA … November 16, 2016 … Vertical Groove Golf, LLC, the golf industry’s newest original equipment manufacturer, today introduced the cutting-edge Vertical Groove Driver, the first USGA conforming golf club to enter the market featuring vertical groove technology on the club face – which is proven to deliver greater distance and better accuracy off the tee.

The Vertical Groove Driver’s signature design element – vertical grooves on the club face – reduces side spin at impact, leading to 40% straighter ball flight on average. The configurations of the vertical grooves also help alleviate a golfer’s tendency to hook and slice their drive, which promotes better accuracy. Additionally, the vertical configurations, an array of shorter vertical grooves combined with vertical land areas perpendicular to the club face, help golfers generate greater energy at impact, resulting in a stronger forward roll and increased driving distance.

Backed by proven research and extensive testing by Golf Laboratories, Inc., the leading independent golf club testing facility in San Diego, CA, the Vertical Groove Driver consistently outperformed the top drivers in spin rate and distance, as well as center, heel and toe dispersion.

“The performance attributes of the Vertical Groove Driver will benefit all golfers, including low-handicappers and golfers that have a tendency to hook or slice off the tee,” said Rubin Hanan, Managing Partner, Vertical Groove Golf, LLC. “Vertical Groove technology on the club face reduces side spin at impact, while generating more forward spin, resulting in better accuracy and increased distance off the tee.”

Available in both right and left handed models, the 450cc Vertical Groove Driver is offered in 9.5, 10.5 and 12 degree lofts, and features a full range of Aldila premium grade, tour proven aftermarket NV2K series shafts as standard. The available flexes include: 45 gram L (Ladies), 50 gram A (Senior), 55 gram R (Regular), 65 gram S (Stiff) and 65 gram X (Extra-stiff). At a length of 45.75 inches, the Vertical Groove Driver provides an optimum launch angle while maximizing carry distance and ball speed for many players. It is equipped with Golf Pride Tour Velvet grips in standard, midsize and oversize models. Alternative shaft options from Fujikura, Mitsubishi and Aldila will also be available. Suggested retail price of the Vertical Groove Driver is $399.99, and the product will be available in December 2016.
