In recent years, Nike has met with the golf teams of several top programs around the country to drive the creation of custom uniforms. Conversing directly with the athletes, designers garner insights into specific performance needs and pair this information with school heritage and environmental factors to conceive styles specific to each institution.
A case study among the bespoke school uniforms, the University of Oregon look showcases the school’s signature green and yellow, as well as its “O” insignia. Additionally, a graphic featuring Oregon’s state tree, the Douglas fir, adorns the team polos and golf bags. Each polo will also be personalized with a number of the athlete’s choice.
The custom uniforms will make their on-course debut during the men’s and women’s NCAA regional and national tournaments.
