LPGA’s Biggest American Star Wins With Nippon Shaft

The 28-year-old Stanford graduate used Nippon Shaft N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 105 X-flex steel shafts in her irons and the N.S. PRO MODUS3Wedge 115 shafts in her wedges to shoot rounds of 67-73-66-65—271 (17-under par) at the HSBC Women’s Championship to secure a one-shot come-from-behind victory at Singapore’s Sentosa Golf Club (Tanjong Course).
It was the 127th global professional victory for the MODUS³ series of the Nippon Shaft brand since they were introduced to tour players in July 2009. The champion, who began using Nippon Shaft steel shafts since 2016, earned $225,000.

Notably, it was just six weeks ago that another Nippon Shaft player – the defending Masters champion – captured his 33rd professional victory at the Sentosa Golf Club in Singapore, an Asian Tour event. On Sunday, at the PGA TOUR’s WGC-Mexico Championship, he finished T-7, using Nippon Shaft N.S. PRO MODUS3 Tour 130 X-flex steel shafts in his irons and wedges.

MGM Springfield Tees Up Luxurious Topgolf Swing Suite Experience
Immersive golf simulator suite to offer interactive games, lively lounge and delicious food & beverage offerings
SPRINGFIELD, MA – Topgolf Swing Suite will deliver a fun, new social experience to MGM Springfieldwhen the resort opens in Q3 2018.
Becoming the first in the region available to the general public, the Topgolf Swing Suite will feature three high-tech simulators within a 2,800-square-foot suite and will open onto the resort’s lively outdoor plaza. Visitors can play in groups or practice solo while enjoying gourmet bites and inventive cocktails. When it’s time to take their shot, players will step up to a large, theater-style screen to try their hand at a selection of virtual games. Each simulator can fit up to eight players and offers fun no matter the guest’s skill level.
For pre- or post-round drinks, fairway fans can head to the luxurious lounge area to grab a cocktail or catch a game on one of the many HDTVs. On select nights, the venue will feature live musical performances, transforming into an entertainment hotspot.

This collaboration marks the third Topgolf experience within the MGM Resorts’ portfolio, following the openings of the four-story flagship Topgolf venue at MGM Grand Las Vegas and the new Topgolf Swing Suite at MGM Detroit.
