Fujikura ATMOS Tour Spec Now Available

New Flighted Collection of Tour-Level Shafts Designed to Optimize Launch

Vista, Calif.  (March 1, 2017) – Fujikura, the leader in performance golf shafts, is proud to announce a new flighted collection of shafts designed and developed for tour – the ATMOS Tour Spec is now available for golfers nationwide through our charter dealer network.

ATMOS Tour Spec is the culmination of key learnings from more than two decades of tour-driven products. The development of ATMOS Tour Spec was an extensive process by which critical player feedback and fitting needs were at the forefront. Recognizing that Tour professionals need to keep the ball flighted down with low spin and that these players have a variety of different swing types and clubhead combinations, it was essential that engineering a variety of options was crucial to optimize performance.

Continuing with the iconic “tour spec white” base color, ATMOS Tour Spec comes in three different color coded launch options; red being the highest of the three, blue as the middle launching and black the lowest. Similarities across the three shafts include keeping the handle flexes the same for feel, but adjusting the mid and tip sections for launch and spin to achieve desired results.

ATMOS Tour Spec was introduced to players on the PGA TOUR at both the Sony Open and this week’s Career Builder Challenge. They are currently in play and will be on Tour at future events in the 2017 season.

“Working with tour pros every week we have learned what profiles they prefer and launch conditions they demand so it will be nice to have a new “go-to” shaft with three launch options,” said Pat McCoy, Fujikura Tour Representative. “Some of our leading technologies including CAGE and H.I.T. (high inertia tip) make the new ATMOS Tour Spec smooth in transition and solid at impact. That, combined with an easy color coding system for launch has already garnered positive feedback from both pros and many Tour reps in the first weeks it’s been on Tour.”

Each week on Tour, the number of ATMOS shafts in play is growing as players take notice and continue to test at events and in their off weeks. In the past four events the number ATMOS Tour Spec wood shafts in play has been 11 at Waste Management Phoenix Open, 16 at AT&T Pebble Beach Pro Am, 16 at the Genesis Open and 21 at The Honda Classic.

Availability & Pricing:

The ATMOS Tour Spec shafts are priced at $300 and available exclusively through the Fujikura charter dealer network starting March 1, 2017. All shafts come at 46” uncut and are designed for drivers and fairway woods. The weights range from 64 grams to 85 grams across the colors and flexes. Flexes will be Stiff and Extra Stiff across the range, with the exception of the 8 Black available only in TS and TX.

Callaway Announces Sure Out Wedges

Today Callaway Golf officially announced their new Sure Out Wedges, available beginning on March 10th.
