Galvin Green Launches Ventil8 Plus Range For Spring/Summer 2017
(VÄxjö, Sweden) – Galvin Green – the world’s leading maker of functional golf clothing for serious players and the No. 1 global golf partner of GORE-TEX® – announces the introduction of its 2017 Spring/Summer Ventil8 Plus range featuring body-mapping technology.
Designed for ultimate breathability and comfort in excessive heat, Ventil8 Plus fibers feature a revolutionary body-mapping technology to wick moisture twice as fast as a traditional polyester shirt. The ultralight material draws sweat away and diffuses it over a larger area for rapid evaporation alongside ventilation panels for maximum airflow.
“The Ventil8 Plus line brings a level of technical fabrication unlike anything else on the market,” says Andrew Creed, President of Galvin Green USA. “We set out to offer golfers the perfect combination of style and market-leading performance, and Ventil8 Plus over delivers.”
The latest Cool Layer advancement within the brand’s heralded Multi-Layer Concept, Ventil8 Plus is offered across a range of men’s, women’s and junior’s polos, trousers, shorts, and skorts. Boasting a UV protection rating of 20+, all garments are developed with an anti-bacterial effect for odor control and are machine washable for easy care.
Based in Sweden, Galvin Green is a pure golf brand that developed the sport’s first apparel layering system – the Multi-Layer Concept – more than a decade ago. This distinctive approach uses leading-edge fabric technologies to ensure the dry comfort, thermal regulation and outer protection that helps players optimize performance.
Galvin Green is the Official Team Supplier of Outerwear for the 2016 and 2018 European Ryder Cup Teams. Through this partnership, the company will provide its premium waterproof garments to the captains, vice captains, team members and their caddies during the matches at Hazeltine National Golf Club (2016) and Le Golf National (2018).

PUMA Golf’s AW’17 Collection introduces Evoknit in an assortment of apparel and accessory pieces for men and women. Evoknit is a knitted design that utilizes body mapped ventilation, strategically placed rib panels and seamless engineering for unrestricted range of motion. The moisture-wicking, highly breathable fabric provides extreme comfort and breathability.
The collection also features PWRWARM Extreme, an extremely efficient synthetic insulation, that utilizes Primaloft ® Gold insulation and microfibers to trap body heat and repel water, creating a warmer microclimate even in the wettest, coldest weather. Primaloft ® Gold is a premier microfiber insulation that mimics the softness and packability of down, and has the highest warmth to weight ratio of any insulation fiber. It’s compressible, breathable and offers superior water repellency to keep you dry, warm and comfortable in extreme conditions.
The AW’17 assortment will continue to feature the brand’s revamped men’s bottoms collection. PUMA Golf’s designers set out to make a more fashion-forward golf pant, rejecting the typical shiny fabric and drapey fit that is commonly associated with the garment. 4 Courses. 4 Time Zones. 1 Day
Racing the Sun is an inconceivable golf experience created to generate awareness and raise supporting funds for Youth on Course and the organization’s national expansion. Six golfers will play four Top-100 courses, in four different U.S. time zones, on the longest day of the year, June 21.
The group, which includes top donors and the Youth on Course Executive Director, will Race the Sun and cross the country by chartered jet to play 18 holes at each of the following top-rated courses: Valhalla in Louisville, KY, Prairie Dunes in Hutchinson, KS, Ballyneal in Holyoke, CO, and Shadow Creek in Las Vegas, NV.
The Racing the Sun team will tee off at Valhalla at 5:50 a.m. EST and plans to play 18 holes in only 2 hours and 15 minutes at each course – walking with caddies. The team is expected to finish their twilight round at Shadow Creek around 8:30 p.m. PST.
Team members have made a large charitable gift to Youth on Course for the opportunity to see if they have what it takes to finish Racing the Sun. The non-profit, based out of Northern California, provides youth the opportunity to play rounds for “$5 or less” by paying subsidies to over 500 partner golf courses across the country. All proceeds from Racing the Sun go toward supporting initiatives for more than 20,000 Youth on Course members nationally. In addition to round subsidies, Youth on Course also funds college scholarships, internships and a growing caddie program for their members.
Fans can track the team and the event by following Youth on Course on Twitter and Instagram (@yocgolf) as well as the hashtag #RacingTheSun. To learn more about Youth on Course, or to make a tax deductible charitable gift, please visit youthoncourse.org.
