Introducing FJ x Harris Tweed Premiere Series

FAIRHAVEN, MA – FootJoy, the #1 Shoe in Golf, has once again renewed its partnership with Harris Tweed Hebrides to introduce a footwear range titled “The Stamp” Premiere Series.

This limited-edition collaboration boasts a distinctive hand-woven tweed with a ‘basket weave’ pattern, reminiscent of a postage stamp, paying homage to the iconic 8th hole at this year’s Open Championship.

Governed by The Harris Tweed Act, the fabric must be handwoven in the Outer Hebrides using truly traditional methods to be able to use the name and logo – this maintains the integrity and distinctive character of the fabric which is recognized globally for its quality.

Available in both Field and Wilcox models, each pair comes with a unique shoe bag made from the same cloth as featured on the shoes.

Mark Hogarth, Brand Ambassador at Harris Tweed Hebrides, said:

“Getting to collaborate with FootJoy once again is quite phenomenal. Understanding the quality that goes into all their products, it is clear that they not only honor their deep heritage but also show a clear commitment towards the future.

“We are always looking for a strong narrative to tie the two brands together and for this year’s collaboration celebrating the 152nd Open Championship in Ayrshire, the design came to me relatively quickly.

“Firstly, I always focus on the color and at Harris Tweed® we are famous for our blending, so there is a melange of six different yarns colors used in order to get that depth from the different shades of blue. Using these colors alongside a pattern repeat that resembles a postage stamp which is so synonymous with the iconic 8th hole, it has really turned out quite exceptional.”

“The Stamp” Premiere Series collection uses authentic, hand-woven Harris Tweed® wool cloth combined with hand-selected soft full grain leather and luxurious calfskin details deliver the highest standards of craftsmanship, quality and style.

While timeless in design, both Field and Wilcox models are also packed full of performance innovation, leading with the custom, gold Pulsar softspikes and specifically arranged, multi-directional traction elements create an impermeable defense against swing forces that can come from any angle.

Also featuring the revolutionary VersaTrax+ technology, golfers can rely on a shoe that delivers unparalleled traction and stability in every condition and on every playing surface.

Chris Tobias, Vice President of Global Footwear, FootJoy, said:

“We’re very excited about the continued partnership between FootJoy and Harris Tweed Hebrides. Both brands have such a rich heritage with a mutual understanding in wanting to deliver the highest levels of quality and per formance . This year’s collaboration pays homage to the famous 8th hole at Royal Troon and we can’t wait to see many of our FJ athletes sporting both the Field and Wilcox models at this year’s Open Championship.”

FootJoy brand ambassadors such as Justin Thomas, Max Homa, Wyndham Clark and Will Zalatoris will be presented with the shoes ahead of the 152nd Open Championship at Royal Troon.

The FJ x Harris Tweed Premiere Series are available on footjoy.com and select retailers, while supplies last.
