True Linkswear Offers First Ever Loafer

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – TRUE linkswear is proud to unveil its first ever loafer, the TRUE gent loafer. Designed for the casual golfer, the gent loafer can be worn wherever you are, easily transitioning from the office to the links. Featuring a premium leather upper, the gent loafer still offers the TRUE linkswear EVA/rubber comfort outsole and adds mid-foot stability and cushioning.

“One of the things our fans have appreciated over the years is our commitment to offer a comfortable shoe that not only performs well, but also has the stylish look to match their lifestyle,” said Jeremy Moore, president of TRUE linkswear. “The gent loafer features the same outsole as our traditional gent, but has a relaxed look that we hope will make it a shoe people will want to wear on and off the course.”

The gent loafer retails for $109.99 and comes in two colors: Black/Black and Brown/Tan.

Golf Pride Is #1 Grip Brand of Choice At 2014 PGA Championship

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. … Power management company Eaton announced today that its Golf Pride Grips Division was the leading grip of choice by players at the 2014 PGA Championship in Louisville, Kentucky. In fact, 124 of the 156 (79%) players competing in the season’s final major trusted their games to Golf Pride grips.

Of those playing Golf Pride, 26 players relied on the brand’s popular New Decade® MultiCompound grips, with advanced moisture management and hybrid cord/rubber grip technologies, in trying to negotiate the rain-soaked Valhalla Golf Club. That single model’s usage exceeded any other competing brand’s total usage in Louisville. Furthermore, half of all Golf Pride Grip users in the 2014 PGA Championship field chose a grip with Golf Pride’s Cord technology to help provide them better control in the wet and damp conditions, including seven of the Top 10 finishers.

“The constant rain combined with a tremendous test of golf provided by the Valhalla Golf Club, made for what was probably the most exciting major of the year,” said Brandon Sowell, global sales and marketing director for Golf Pride. “We’re pleased that when the biggest prizes in golf are on the line, players continue to trust their championship quests to Golf Pride, and over and over again that trust is rewarded with success.”

3rd Place Finisher At The PGA Championship Played Oban’s Kiyoshi Tour Limited

CHICAGO, IL, AUGUST 12, 2014: OBAN is proud to announce the 3rd ranked player in the Official World Golf Rankings played the highly acclaimed Kiyoshi Tour Limited during the PGA Championship. Finishing in a tie for 3rd, the Swedish professional fired a 66 on the final day of the tournament using the Kiyoshi Tour Limited in combination with his Callaway X2 Hot driver.

“The Kiyoshi Tour Limited provides a consistent feel, resulting from the 4-axis material infused into the entire length of the shaft,” commented Pete Sanchez, OBAN’s Senior VP of Business Development. “This shaft was designed to radically reduce ovalization and maintain its geometric shape throughout the golf swing.” Released in May 2014, the low-mid launch, lower spin Kiyoshi Tour Limited offers unprecedented control and extraordinary feel for players seeking to improve accuracy and distance.
