Duca del Cosma Unveils Bold SS24 Range That Dares to Be Different

NORTH PALM BEACH, FL – Luxury golf fashion brand Duca del Cosma is today unveiling its bold SS24 golf shoe range headlined by a pioneering lightweight outsole technology and a host of vibrant new designs that dare to be different from other models on the market.

The functional Airplay 15 outsole is applied to four new styles that enable golfers to enjoy out-of-the-box comfort and game-enhancing performance by using the most premium materials in a smart sole design. Crafted to reduce foot fatigue, while maximizing support and stability through a sturdy and lightweight construction, the outsole has been developed and tested in collaboration with brand ambassadors, including DP World Tour star Joost Luiten and LPGA Tour player Kelly Tan.

Standout golf shoes across the four distinctive style categories – ‘Pro’, ‘Fashion’, ‘Sporty’ and ‘Classic’ – include the ultra-modern DAVANTI men’s and chic OLIVERA women’s sneaker-style designs; classic DAVINCI men’s style and dazzling AVIVA women’s shoe in a prominent animal print; plus the limited-edition JUBILEE and ALANA styles that are a nod to the brand’s 20-year anniversary. Several award-winning shoes remain in the collection with the addition of striking new color combinations to elevate the product offering to even greater heights.

“This latest range shows exactly why we dare to be different and continue to push the boundaries of modern golf shoe design,” said Dolf Stoffberg, CEO at Duca del Cosma. “These styles really bridge the gap between on and off course wear, while featuring a stunning array of colors and patterns to ensure golfers stand out for all the right reasons,” he added.

The Airplay 15 outsole features an advanced dual-component build comprised of a high shock absorption CMEVA midsole for added comfort and flexibility, plus an offset medial toe bumper and traction nubs on the durable outsole unit to deliver optimal performance and uncompromising grip during the golf swing. A strategically positioned heel-strike to the rear of the outsole improves the walking gait and promotes a solid stride.

Further innovations in the SS24 collection include a waterproof sock system with OnSteam® recyclable microfibre technology applied to several shoes, while the breathable ARNEFLEX® insert sole is also manufactured using recycled materials and delivers unrivalled all-day comfort. A total of 11 outsole technologies across four different Duca Fit Systems ensures there is a golf shoe in the range to fit all foot types and sizes.

Five Iron Golf Celebrates Women’s History Month with Free Golf for Women

NEW YORK, NY – Five Iron Golf, the nation’s leading urban golf experience, will celebrate Women’s History Month in March by inviting women to play free golf at all of its U.S. locations via two branded campaigns.

Every Wednesday, women are invited to reserve complimentary time on Five Iron’s TrackMan simulators during normal business hours through an initiative titled “Women’s Wednesdays.” Participants that attend the “Gals of the Greens” evening events will also enjoy access to play, mingle and learn between 5 and 8 p.m. every Wednesday, with roaming instruction from Five Iron coaches, exclusive membership and instruction offers, a free welcome drink, and appearances by Five Iron female influencers at select locations.

“When we started Five Iron Golf back in 2017, one of our goals was to create a place that made golf accessible for everyone,” said Jared Solomon, CEO and co-founder of Five Iron Golf. “As we’ve grown to more than 20 locations across the country, we’ve remained committed to this founding principle and are excited to continue our leading role in fostering female participation through these two offerings.”

According to the National Golf Foundation (NGF), the number of women players jumped 15% between 2020 and 2022. This increase of 820,000 players is significant compared to the 2% increase (465,000) for men over the same time period. The NGF also found that females now represent an impressive 25% of the U.S.’s 25.6 million golfers. It attributed this growth, in part, to an increase in golf entertainment venues – like Five Iron – that provide a fun, more social and less-intimidating environment to learn the game than traditional golf facilities.

Noteworthy for its authentic, inclusive, and dynamic golf and entertainment experiences, Five Iron has been recognized as a leader in the off-course, “Modern Golf” movement. All Five Iron Golf facilities feature world-class technology like simulators from TrackMan Golf, the latest club offerings from Callaway, an upscale yet casual food and drink menu, and a wide range of programming and entertainment options to cater to the diverse needs and interests of its customers.

Five Iron currently has U.S. locations in New York City (6), Chicago (4), Detroit (2), Philadelphia (2), Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Las Vegas, Pittsburgh, Seattle and Washington, D.C. Its strategic expansion will continue later this year with new franchises opening in St. Louis, Missouri; Louisville, Kentucky; Erie, Pennsylvania; Westchester County, New York; and Yukon (Oklahoma City), Oklahoma.

Two Roads Debuts New Additions to its Conn. Campus: Golf Simulator, Family-Friendly Lounge and More

STRATFORD, CT – IPA with a golf chaser? That’s now on the menu at Two Roads Brewing Co., thanks to a new wave of additions and enhancements made throughout the brewery’s campus – already a favorite of Connecticut locals and a destination for craft beer enthusiasts from near and far.

The can’t-miss new Two Roads Tee Box means no more waiting for the 19thhole to kick back. Located just alongside the brewery’s recently-opened Food Hall + Bar, this full-on golf simulator, with Augusta National among 300 iconic courses all over the world, can be reserved by the hour and booked for private events. With space for six golfers, rentable clubs and delivery of food, beer and cocktails from the Food Hall next door, there’s something for everyone, from beginner duffers to scratch handicappers.

Other recent additions to the campus include:

  • A family-friendly lounge in the brewery’s main Tasting Room. With comfortable leather couches and three new hi-def TVs, the lounge offers a more relaxed space for guests to sit back and unwind with the whole family, right down to highchairs for the littlest ones.
  • A new shuffleboard table.  Also located in the Tasing Room, indoor shuffleboard means never having to wait for warm or dry days. Community tables have also been added throughout the space to give guests even more seating options for drinking, eating, hanging-out and board-gaming.
  • For warmer months, a suite of five cabanas located outside in the Hop Yard is available first come first serve or to reserve for large gatherings in the summer months during festivals and events. Each cabana can fit up to ten guests, who can order from the Hop Yard’s new cocktail menu – including all-new slushie and froze inspired cocktails.

“In true road-less-traveled form, we’re always thinking about how our campus experience can go beyond what our fans might expect,” said Ben Paré, Director of Hospitality of Two Roads Brewing Co. “Our latest additions were inspired by all the places our fans enjoy Two Roads – from the golf course to the comforts of their own home or backyard – and give them tastes of those experiences right here at the brewery.”

In addition to the campus enhancements, Two Roads is also debuting a revamped menu at its Food Hall + Bar. The new menu includes tacos made with brisket, pork and chicken braised or marinated in Two Roads beer and beverages, artisanal flatbreads, smash burgers and an extended list of “shareable” items perfect for groups.

“We got a lot of great customer feedback over the past couple months,” added Paré. “We’ve worked hand-in-hand with our Director of Culinary, Tim Lonzak, to launch new items that we know our guests will be excited to try, share and enjoy.”

Two Roads Tee Box will be open from Wednesday – Sunday between 12pm and 8pm available to rent for $60 per hour or $100 for two hours.
