LA Golf Announces Partnership With World #1 Dustin Johnson

LOS ANGELES, CA – LA Golf announced today world #1 Dustin Johnson is the newest LA Golf partner.

Johnson has also become a major shareholder and will join the Board of Directors alongside defending U.S. Open Champion Bryson DeChambeau, TV personality Amanda Balionis, entertainer Kelley James, Duck Commander’s Willie Robertson, and Marucci Sports CEO Kurt Ainsworth.

After playing the same shafts for over a decade, Johnson is switching to LA Golf’s shafts in pursuit of more distance and accuracy. In the last few months alone, over 20 top Tour players, including six Major champions have put LA Golf in play, with a host of others in line to collaborate on a custom design structure.

LA Golf was founded by CEO Reed Dickens, who developed a reputation for partnering with players as the founding CEO of Marucci Sports, the maker of the number one bat in baseball. Dickens connected early with Bryson DeChambeau who wanted to design a shaft from scratch that would withstand unprecedented ball speeds.

LA Golf is the only shaft manufacturer where each structure is co-designed with players and built in the USA. Unlike mass market shafts, LA Golf is a small batch, premium supplier of performance-driven and technologically advanced shafts. LA Golf’s unique manufacturing process and performance attributes are inspired from insights directly from the Tour’s best ball strikers, and allows everyday golfers to swing harder, while achieving greater accuracy.

In 1998, the USGA mandated a maximum COR of .82 in driver faces.  Within a few years dramatic distance gains in drivers had disappeared.  Reimagining shaft technology is the next great innovation capable of producing dramatic distance and accuracy gains. LA Golf is leading the charge to bring awareness to the shaft as the engine of the swing and the most valuable component of the golf club.

SIK Golf Offers Limited Edition Putter to Celebrate Bryson Dechambeau’s Historic Victory at 2020 US Open

PINELLAS PARK, FL – SIK Golf, developer of Patented Descending Loft Technology (DLT), today announced the introduction of a US Open Commemorative Putter, similar to the model used by Bryson DeChambeau at Winged Foot in 2020. Just like the one Bryson games, the US Open Commemorative model is a SIK Pro C head with alignment aid on top rather than on the flange and a traditional plumber’s neck hosel. An armlock-length LAGP shaft, fitted with a JumboMax grip identical to the one Bryson plays, also comes standard. The entire putter, including the headcover, comes in a red, white, and blue, USA theme. As a bonus LA Golf added to the Commemorative package with a limited release of Bryson’s exact LAGP putter shaft – the lowest torque and stiffest of all LA Golf models, with a unique, limited USA color scheme.

There are only 274 Limited Edition US Open Commemorative putters available, a number that celebrates Bryson’s incredible final score at Winged Foot. Each putter also comes with a unique, embroidered headcover with both SIK and LAGP logos, as well as a unique collectible box and letter of authenticity. Like all SIK putters, the US Open Commemorative edition features a 100% milled clubhead with the company’s patented Descending Loft Technology in the clubface.

COBRA Golf Releases New KING TEC Hybrid With Advanced Technologies to Deliver Exceptional Distance, Forgiveness, and Control

Carlsbad, CA – COBRA® Golf, a leader in golf club innovation, unveiled today the new KING TEC Hybrid, the newest addition to their KING players’ family. Packed with innovative technologies, the KING TEC Hybrid is designed for better players who seek a utility club that delivers reliable carry distance and enhanced forgiveness off the tee and on longer approach shots into par 5’s.

The KING TEC Hybrid is the only hybrid in COBRA’s lineup to feature a PWRSHELL Face design (also featured in the latest RADSPEED irons).  The innovative design utilizes a thin, forged 455 stainless steel L-cup insert that is hyper-flexible to promote faster ball speed and higher launch across the face.  In addition, the KING TEC hybrid features a Carbon Fiber Crown that saves 10g that are repositioned low and back within the clubhead to lower CG.  Together, both technologies achieve the best combination of high launch, reduced spin, longer carry distance, and softer landing into greens.  A slightly oversized profile aids in forgiveness, while a more square leading edge provides a pleasing look at address and gives players confidence to execute precise and controlled ball flights.

To optimize performance for an even wider range of golfers, the  features an Adjustable Weight and Loft System. The hybrid features three adjustable weights (two 12g weights and a 2g weight) that can be positioned in the toe (for a fade-biased ball flight), heel (for a draw-biased ball flight), or front setting for a neutral and lower launching ball flight. 14g and 10g weights are also available through custom for those who require more fine-tuning. COBRA’S MYFLY hosel features 8 settings which can be adjusted up to + or -1.5 degrees (including 3 draw settings), allowing players to dial in their preferred launch and spin performance.

Each KING TEC Hybrid is equipped with a COBRA CONNECT Grip powered by Arccos Caddie.  Users can download the Arccos Caddie app on their smart device and pair their clubs to track their shot data and improvement.

The KING TEC Hybrid is available in right and left hand (left hand custom only) in four different lofts —a 17° 2H (adjustable from 15.5° to 18.5°), a 19° 3H (adjustable from 17.5° to 20.5°), a 21° 4H (adjustable from 19.5° to 22.5°) and a 24° 5H (adjustable from 22.5° to 25.5°). Each hybrid is equipped with either a Mitsubishi Chemical MMT 80 graphite hybrid shaft in extra-stiff & stiff flex and a MMT 70 in regular flex.
