SkyGolf® Launches New SX550 with a Larger Screen and Lighter Slimmer Body

RIDGELAND, MS – SkyGolf®, maker of SkyCaddie®, the most-trusted rangefinders in Golf, announces the new SkyCaddie SX550, giving golfers all the same powerful features as the award-winning SX500 but with a lighter, slimmer body and a 5.5-inch screen that is 10% larger than the SX500 screen. The SX550 is shipping now.

The powerful features of the SX550 are easily tapped with a 5.5”, intuitive touch screen The large HD display combined with HD quality course graphics, only available from SkyCaddie, provide the best view of the most-reliable information in the game to allow you to play your best golf.

The SX550 has a slim feel with a highly water-resistant design. With a large battery, the SX550 is ready for extended playing time for that emergency 9, or even 18 more holes. Using multi-constellation navigation satellite systems, the SX550 provides enhanced accuracy and overall better performance under tough conditions or tree cover.

The SX550 also features Shot Tracking, which allows you to track each shot you play, which clubs you used, how far you hit them, and where you hit them from. Activate Shot Tracking on your SkyCaddie to track your round, identify your strengths and weaknesses, and find out which clubs are helping or hurting your game! After you play, just WiFi Sync and use the in-depth tools to explore your round in detail at SkyGolf 360.

The SX family of rangefinders includes a host of “patented” technology and stroke-saving features developed by SkyCaddie to help its customers play golf like a Pro. It also includes an array of automated features such as Auto-Course Selection, Auto-Hole Advance and Auto-Zoom, making it basically “touch-free” from the parking lot to the 19th hole.

While other GPS products may provide a few calculated layup yardages, the SkyCaddie® SX550 delivers distances to up to 40 geo-referenced targets per hole, all integrated within HoleVue®. Simply double-tap or pinch and zoom HoleVue to reveal instantly the critical distances to all hazards, carries and layups… all verified by SkyGolf’s ground mapping team.

All rangefinders in the SX family feature the new Dynamic HoleVue with IntelliPath Technology that provides the distance to target as well as every other relevant attribute of the course, along and beyond your target line, without aiming a laser. So, now without wasting time to make multiple measurements, such as with a laser, you get distances instantly to all intervening hazards, end of fairways and other shot saving information in an instant to allow you to play like a pro and make the right club selection.

The ultra-fast multi-core processor of the SX550 also drives SkyCaddie’s Dynamic HoleVue™, which automatically re-orients the entire golf hole from your position to the green as you progress from the tee. The new and patented Dynamic HoleVue™ feature rotates the fairway and orients the green from your current position and angle of attack as you move from the tee to the green. Now, you see everything between you and the green instantly without touching a button and get the distances you need to avoid hazards and play your best golf. So, in addition to SkyCaddie’s patented IntelliGreen® technology, golfers can now see the entire hole from their point-of-view.

With SkyCaddie’s patented IntelliGreen® technology, the exact shape of the green automatically rotates to match your angle of approach to provide all of the distances you need to hit more greens and avoid 3-putts. This proprietary feature gives you a chance to turn every shot into a scoring opportunity by providing front carry and back distances, depth of green, and distances to any other point on the green — simultaneously.

SkyCaddie PinPoint® will obsolete lasers by providing the ability to get distances to the pin while getting all the benefits of IntelliGreen. Simply enter pin sheet or zone information into the SkyCaddie® SX550, SX500 or SX400 to get distances to the hole, front, center and back PLUS the depth and true shape green… AND all of this information is on one screen that changes automatically based on your current position and angle of approach from anywhere on the course…whether you can see the flag or not. Wi-Fi connectivity cuts the cord to streamline application updates and allows golfers to get the latest course information on demand without connecting to a computer. Skechers Named Official Team Footwear Supplier of the 2021 Solheim Cup

LOS ANGELES, CA –For the first time, Skechers has been named the official footwear supplier of both the European and United States Solheim Cup Teams for the 2021 tournament. GO GOLF Elite 3™ styles in unique colors for the United States and European teams, to be provided to players—with Skechers also providing footwear to caddies and support staff—during the September event at Inverness Club in Toledo, Ohio.

European Solheim Cup Captain Catriona Matthew said: “When it comes to the game, Skechers GO GOLF delivers with footwear that offers the comfort players need for three days of competition at the Solheim Cup. I’m thrilled that our team will be partnering with the brand for the third time.”

PIZÁ CHAMBLEE GOLF DESIGN PRESENTS THE “BUTTERFLY EFFECT” CONCEPT AND GOLF COURSE

-The new Pizá Chamblee Golf Design features four distinct six-hole golf loops-

SAN DIEGO, CA. –  Pizá Chamblee Golf Design, a recently formed partnership between award-winning architect Agustin (Augie) Pizá and Golf Channel analyst Brandel Chamblee, proudly introduces a completely original and imaginative golf course concept, referred to as the “Butterfly Effect.”
“The ‘Butterfly Effect’ refers to the innovative layout but also to the Chaos Theory where one small change in a system can result in a large difference. This thought process and concept could change golf course designs, create a movement, and ultimately grow the game. A golf courses like this asks the average golfer to have fun and think and the low handicap golfer to think and have fun. We are elated that the ‘Butterfly Effect’ concept is in development,” said Pizá.
The “Butterfly Effect” concept and golf course is in development and located in the rustic hillsides of Mexico, in Cuatro Cienegas, within a master planned community and resort. The layout resembles the wings of a butterfly from above with four diverse quadrangles. Within these sections are six-hole golf loops creatively positioned within the rural landscape and surround an inventive multi-purpose short course. One of the specific loops will host a professional women’s golf tournament.
“Augie’s concept is ingenious. The four-six-hole loops were designed to meet the ever-changing demands on time and to create a golf experience for different skill levels. A new or beginning golfer as well as an avid golfer will enjoy the layout. Six holes is the new nine and 12 holes is the new 18. I am thrilled he invited me to participate on this special project,” said Chamblee.
The Pizá Chamblee signature project features loops or circuits designed to provide an incredibly unique and different golfing experience and can be played in seven different combinations, up to 24-holes. Play as many holes as time permits. The circuits in the conceptual stage are named after colours — green, red, blue, and purple and will be named as the project progresses.
