Galvin Green Boosts it’s Tour Player Profile for 2019

More champions wearing premium garments on worldwide Tours

VÄXJÖ, SWEDEN – Galvin Green, the leading technical performance golf clothing brand, has boosted the line-up of global ambassadors for the 2019 season with the addition of proven Tour winners to wear its premium apparel.

On the PGA Tour, two-time champion Troy Merritt will be wearing the ultra-lightweight and breathable Galvin Green clothing for the third consecutive season, after extending his contract until 2020. New Built-In Gyro Takes Mizuno Shaft Optimizer To A New Dimension

NORCROSS, GA – Mizuno, the global specialty sporting goods company, is pushing golf’s custom-fitting boundaries with a major upgrade to its long-established Shaft Optimizer fitting tool that uses a built-in Gyroscope and transmission via Bluetooth to improve lie accuracy of Swing DNA software. Along with fitting tool enhancements, Mizuno introduced two new tour-caliber golf balls, RB TOUR and RB TOUR X, the first time the company has introduced golf balls globally.

The latest Shaft Optimizer upgrade sees a Gyro added to the existing strain gauges to allow Mizuno’s experienced fitters to digitally recommend a far more accurate lie angle than the traditional method of lie tape and strike board. The Gyro enables the club’s swing plane to now be measured in 3D space along with shaft dynamics, ignoring face rotation through impact for a more accurate lie angle reading. Using a combination of the Gyro and strain gauges which run throughout the shaft, Mizuno is now able to capture 40 data points from every swing. The new Bluetooth-enabled Shaft Optimizer then enables Mizuno’s club fitters to capture swing data directly to the software, run from an iPad or iPhone.


Mizuno Introduces First Golf Balls Globally – RB Tour And RB Tour X

The RB TOUR and RB TOUR X golf balls promise optimum greenside feel plus excellent performance in the wind thanks to a new drag-reducing Cone Profile Dimple (C Dimple), which is the result of 12-years of wind tunnel testing at Mizuno’s MT (Mizuno Technics) test facility in Yoro, Japan

The C-Dimple creates more trigger points to keep fast flowing air close to the ball’s surface for longer – simultaneously reducing drag, and strengthening trajectory.  Under laboratory testing a configuration of 360 Cone Dimples was discovered the most effective at producing a controllable, penetrating driver flight, and noticeable distance gains on full iron shots.

The RB Tour and RB Tour X’s high-energy four-piece construction blends 360 drag-reducing C-Dimples with: a high-traction Urethane cover for ultra-soft, responsive greenside performance; a high-energy Ionomer mantle layer; and a graduated hardness Butadiene Dual Core. The RB Tour model’s very soft compression offers lower driver spin to suit more downward angles of attack, while the RB Tour X is geared more towards mid driver spin for flat to upward attack angles.
