Cleveland Golf Unveils Three New Huntington Beach Collection Putter Models

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA – Cleveland Golf® is proud to introduce the three latest putter models in the Huntington Beach Collection: the 2, the 8, and the 11. These three additional offerings push the total number of models in the Huntington Beach Collection to nine. The new models officially launch on Friday, February 16.

“We’ve had tremendous momentum in the putter category with both the Huntington Beach and TFI 2135 putter lines,” said Jeff Brunski, Director of Research and Development. “These three new Huntington Beach models produce the same great roll and exceptional feel as our other Huntington Beach models with new address profiles that inspire confidence and help alignment.”

The Cleveland Golf Huntington Beach Collection is inspired by Cleveland Golf’s North American headquarters. These putters feature a classic design that have been revered for generations with modern innovations that can help any golfer improve their scoring.

The Huntington Beach Collection first launched in September of 2016 with the 1, 4, and 6 models which garnered a 2017 Hot List Gold Medal from Golf Digest. Then, in April of 2017, Cleveland Golf released three new putter models featuring tour-proven shapes: the 3, the 6c, and the 10.

“There has been more demand than ever for our Huntington Beach Collection putters, and these three models provide even more options to golfers seeking a high quality putter at an exceptional price,” said Brian Schielke, Marketing Director.

Cleveland Golf’s Huntington Beach putters features a precision milled face with a coarse, diamond-shaped milling pattern to soften the feel at impact while increasing friction for a more consistent roll. Each one is made from soft 304 Stainless Steel.

Golf Pride’s Breakthrough Tour Velvet ALIGN Technology Enables Players to Feel Clubface Awareness Throughout the Swing

SOUTHERN PINES, N.C. – Eaton announced today that its Golf Pride Grips Division will infuse the Tour Velvet, the #1 grip model on TOUR, with the revolutionary ALIGN Technology.  The proprietary ALIGN Technology, which was first introduced in the flagship MCC and MCC Plus4 grip families last year, features a dedicated raised ridge that extends down the back of the grip for consistent hand placement allowing a golfer increased clubface awareness throughout the swing and at impact.  With the introduction of Tour Velvet ALIGN, the TOUR’s three most preferred grip models will all be available with ALIGN Technology.

Tour Velvet is the #1 grip played on all global Tours, with nearly 50% of the field in any given event choosing to rely on its proprietary feel and proven “plus-sign” texture performance.  Introducing ALIGN Technology to the Tour Velvet may appear straightforward on the surface; however, adding this innovative technology to the gold standard of tour performance grips proved to be more intricate. Golf Pride engineers answered the challenge through advancements in both material and process developments, while ensuring its same world-renowned feel and performance.

ALIGN Technology activates upon installation with a dedicated raised ridge on the back of the grip allowing for consistent hand placement and an enhanced clubface awareness. ALIGN Technology also features a unique micro-diamond texture and firmer material compared to the surrounding grip area to amplify its pronounced feel. A flex channel separates the ALIGN Technology ridge from the grip body to maximize elevation lift and lock the grip into the fingers, while conforming to the rules of golf.

“We received incredible feedback from TOUR players and amateurs last year about our MCC ALIGN and MCC Plus4 ALIGN grips, and we even saw a major victory in the first week the technology was put in play on the Champions Tour,” said Jonathan Neal, global head of marketing for Golf Pride Grips.  “Last year, we had a countless number of players request that we make ALIGN Technology available in other models.  While this sounds easy, bringing the product to market required state-of-the-art material development along with innovations in our manufacturing processes to ensure premium performance and quality. Our R&D team worked rigorously in the lab to ensure that a player would keep the same feel and texture they have come to love in the Tour Velvet with the added benefit that ALIGN Technology delivers.   With the addition of Tour Velvet ALIGN to this incredibly innovative family, we’ve ensured that ALIGN Technology is offered in a diverse range of feel and performance options.”

Titleist Introduces New Vokey Design SM7 Wedges

Bob Vokey’s Industry-Leading SM7 Models Provide All Golfers The Opportunity For a Better Short Game

FAIRHAVEN, MA – Master Craftsman Bob Vokey and his pioneering R&D team continue to shape the future of wedge design with the introduction of the new Titleist Vokey Design Spin Milled 7 wedges. Available in golf shops worldwide beginning March 9, new Vokey SM7 wedges provide all golfers the opportunity for a better, more confident short game through unmatched craftsmanship, technology and performance.

Vokey’s prior generation SM6 models ushered in a new era of wedge innovation and performance with their groundbreaking Progressive Center of Gravity (CG) design. The advancements made with SM7 – already the most played wedge model on the PGA Tour, with four SM7’s in the bag of Jordan Spieth – further widen the performance gap between a Vokey and all other wedges.

Improving in all three areas of wedge performance, new SM7 models provide increased shot versatility with expanded fitting options, improved distance and trajectory control and more spin. Bob Vokey’s six tour-proven sole grinds – F, S, M, K, L and the new D grind – allow golfers of all skill levels to be precisely fit for their swing type, shot making style and course conditions. Vokey SM7 offers the game’s most complete selection of lofts, bounces and grinds, with 23 different combinations.

New SM7 wedges are available in three finishes (Tour Chrome, Brushed Steel and Jet Black). Tour Chrome retains its popular bright chrome finish. The darker Brushed Steel finish is richer and slightly more polished when compared to the Steel Gray offered in SM6, while maintaining a non-glare finish in the playing position. The raw Jet Black has been enhanced with black paint fill in the logos and graphics, inspired by requests received on tour by Vokey Tour Rep Aaron Dill.
