Wilson® Golf Adds Forged Irons to Its Acclaimed Dynapower® Product Line

Forged 8620 Carbon Steel material delivers softest feel while providing longer distances and faster stopping power

CHICAGO, IL – One year after Wilson Sporting Goods Co. announced the re-launch of its Dynapower franchise, the iron brand with more major championships won than any other golf company is introducing a line of Dynapower Forged irons. The Dynapower Forged irons are available for presale on Wilson.com starting Tuesday, Feb. 13 and at select retail locations beginning Tuesday, March 15.

“We used a forged 8620 carbon steel material while developing these clubs that will provide longer distances and faster stopping power, but with the softest feel you can have in a club,” said Bob Thurman, Global General Manager of Golf and Vice President of Research & Development at Wilson. “It’s the most powerful players distance iron we’ve ever made and a fantastic addition to the Dynapower lineup.”

Using exclusive Dynapower AI modeling, Wilson analyzed thousands of permutations to identify the perfect variable thickness option for each section of the face to make the whole face faster while maintaining high MOI for mishits.

“This iron is for a golfer who wants a player’s look at address but needs more distance and accuracy,” added Thurman. “Thanks to its variable face thickness, new power hole construction and high MOI design, it is the most powerful players distance iron we’ve ever constructed at Wilson Golf.”

Dynapower Forged Iron Highlights:

  • Variable Face Thickness: Constructed and tested using Wilson’s AI technology system, faster ball speeds across the face have been optimized while making it one of the most forgiving players distance irons Wilson has made.
  • New Power Hole Configuration: New power hole construction has been implemented into the Dynapower Forged lineup ensuring face flexion is elevated for every single shot.
  • Low Center of Gravity and High MOI: Those who want distance without sacrificing accuracy and stopping power will benefit from Dynapower Forged. Combining low CG and pushing weight towards the toe makes the Dynapower Forged iron fast and forgiving with higher launch angles.
  • Pricing: Steel $999.99 USD ($1,299.99 CAD) / Graphite $1,099.99 USD ($1,399.99 CAD)

Wilson launches the new Dynapower Forged Irons alongside its innovative fitting technology, Wilson Fit AI ™, which uses AI-powered software to generate an accurate, reliable custom-iron recommendation in as few as five swings. This software will be available at Wilson retail partners across the nation and will make the fitting process for the Wilson iron lineup more sophisticated than ever.
