Nippon Shaft Player Earns PGA Tour Card with Win in California
CARLSBAD, CA – The winner of the Ellie Mae Classic used Nippon Shaft N.S.PRO MODUS³ Tour prototype steel shafts in his iron to record his first victory on the Korn Ferry Tour and secure full PGA TOUR playing privileges for the 2019-20 season.
The 28-year-old out of Brigham Young led the field in greens in regulation at TPC Stonebrae in Hayward, California en route to a 17-under par finish with rounds of 66-65-65-67—263. He did not make a bogey in his final round, which he started one shot behind the leader.
It was the 34th victory this year for the MODUS³ series and the 188th overall, according to company officials.

TPC Danzante Bay to Hold Two-Person Team Challenge Golf Tournament
LORETO, BAJA CALIFORNIA SUR, MEXICO — TPC Danzante Bay and neighboring Villa del Palmar Beach Resort & Spa at The Islands of Loreto are holding the inaugural Two-Person Team Challenge, to be held October 6 to October 10 on the spectacular Rees Jones-designed golf course along the Sea of Cortez on the east coast of the Baja Peninsula.
While there will be spirited competition and prizes, this first-ever event will be great fun and give lucky two-person teams the opportunity to challenge and enjoy one of the world’s most acclaimed new golf courses. The 18 holes of TPC Danzante Bay traverse a shifting landscape of canyon, cliff, and beach that is as awe-inspiring as it is strategic.
A limited number of two-person teams will play three rounds of golf (one practice round and two rounds of competition) and enjoy other golf-related activities. The five-night tournament package includes:
