Two Fourteen Golf Players Finish in the Top 10 at PGA Championship

IRVINE, CA – Two players who finished in the top 10 Sunday (August 13) at the PGA Championship used Fourteen Golf products in their pursuit of the year’s final major championship. The 33-year-old from Aiken, South Carolina used Fourteen Golf’s 58-degree RM-22 Tour Raw wedge to help him shoot 4-under par 280 with rounds of 67-67-72-74. Finishing T-9 was the 39-year-old out of Georgia Tech who used Fourteen Golf’s Type 7 Utility Iron. He also was runner up at the British Open earlier this summer at Royal Birkdale.

“Fourteen Golf is proud that top players who compete in major championships trust our clubs as they pursue the greatest titles in the game,” said Masashi Kamoda, chief operating officer of Fourteen Golf. “Everyone at the company sends him our congratulations on these outstanding performances.” Fourteen Golf is well known for the quality of its wedges. The incredibly high spin rate of Fourteen Golf’s RM-22 wedges is a result of their innovative reverse muscle technology design, which increases the weight at the top of the club head thereby raising the center of gravity higher on the face, Kamoda said.

The Fourteen Golf Type 7 utility iron provides the precision of an iron with the forgiveness of a hybrid club, according to Kamoda. The club features a uniquely shaped hollow structure and a relatively small head, giving the club the appearance of an iron while delivering hybrid-style forgiveness. The hollow head design features cup face technology that offers variable face-thickness, which enhances off-center hits and maximizes center strikes, Kamoda said. The shape of the head is engineered to position the center of gravity (CG) deeper and lower in the clubface to promote maximum ball speed. The head is nickel chrome plated with a satin finish.

A premier designer and manufacturer of high-quality golf clubs, Fourteen Golf has been part of 70 professional victories since 2010.

Ben Hogan Golf Equipment launches new website to support innovative ‘factory-direct’ pricing strategy.

Fort Worth, Texas: BH Golf Equipment, LLC, operating as Ben Hogan Golf Equipment, announced the launch of a new, B2C e-commerce focused website: www.benhogangolf.com. The new site will be the cornerstone of the Company’s innovative ‘factory-direct’ pricing model.

“We’ll never deviate from our mission to bring the highest-performing, most-precise, and best- feeling clubs to market” said Scott White, President and CEO of Ben Hogan Golf Equipment. “That said, our means of getting them there will be a bit different. After doing a lot of research and experimentation, we’ve decided to forego the golf industry’s traditional distribution model completely. Now, without any retail mark-up, we can offer Ben Hogan irons, wedges, hybrids and bags directly to serious, avid golfers at a much lower price.”

“Golf equipment is too expensive and, sometimes, complicated to purchase” continued Mr. White. “We are trying to help grow the game by making it easier to buy high-end equipment directly from the manufacturer. Our hope is that our customers will use the savings they realize when buying directly from us to play more often or take some instruction from their local PGA Professional.”
