New Chrome Soft X Triple Track Golf Balls Announced

CARLSBAD, CA – Callaway Golf today officially announced their new Chrome Soft X Triple Track Golf Balls, which will be available nationwide on April 19th.

These new golf balls deliver the complete performance and soft feel from Chrome Soft along with our new Triple Track Technology, and they’re specifically built for the “X” player who wants fast ball speed and low driver spin, workability through the bag, and excellent spin and control on iron shots and short game shots around the green.

Triple Track is already a popular innovation with golfers, and these lines are prominently featured on the ball for better putting accuracy. Triple Track uses Vernier Hyper Acuity to improve alignment compared to a regular side stamp alignment aid.

Chrome Soft X Triple Track is also the ball that Phil Mickelson is playing on Tour – he shot a 60 in his first tournament round with it in Palm Springs, and he used it in his dramatic win in February at Pebble Beach.

Lamkin Grips joins AJGA as Preferred Grip Partner

BRASELTON, GA – The American Junior Golf Association and Lamkin Grips have announced a four-year partnership naming Lamkin Grips as the Preferred Grip Partner of the AJGA.

Lamkin Grips has successfully continued a legacy that began more than 90 years ago with vast worldwide expansion that includes customers and factories around the world and have become the category leader in performance driven innovation. Lamkin Grips is one of the most trusted and dependable brands in golf and a leading provider of golf grips to premium club manufacturers, Tour players, golf professionals and millions of golfers worldwide.

“We are very excited to begin this opportunity with the AJGA and become a part of their world-class events,” said Chris Elson, Lamkin Grips Vice President of Global Sales & Marketing. “There are going to be many new opportunities to connect with the next generation of golf and we’re looking forward to see how we can grow this partnership.”

Lamkin Grips has partnered with the AJGA to become involved on multiple platforms. Lamkin Grips will provide mixed sets of grips for prizes throughout the year at AJGA Junior-Am Fundraising series events and will be onsite at a number of those AJGA Junior-Am Fundraising events. All AJGA members and families will have the opportunity to shop a special discount offer to use toward Lamkin Grips merchandise.

On social media, Lamkin Grips and the AJGA will partner together to launch a year-round social media platform highlighting stories of current and former AJGA players leaving their fingerprint on the game. Featured players and stories will focus on those who are working to grow the game, do charitable work and make a difference in their community outside of scores and results.

The social program is modeled after Lamkin Grips’ Fingerprint technology. The fingerprint micro-textures deliver a smoother surface feel by distributing patterns throughout the grip’s surface. Lamkin Grips technology eliminates the need for coarse and aggressive textures typically used in grip surfaces to deliver traction.

Beginning in 2020, Lamkin Grips will also become the title sponsor of the Lamkin Grips AJGA Preview Championship.

TGA Premier Golf Announces New Franchises in Cleveland, Denver and Long Beach

Los Angeles, CA – TGA Premier Golf (TGA), the leaders in introductory and recreational youth golf programs across the U.S., recently announced franchise expansions in three markets. TGA’s innovative golf curriculum, which combines multi-dimensional golf development with academic STEAM lessons, is growing its reach in Long Beach, CA, Cleveland, OH and Denver, CO.

TGA (Teach, Grow, Achieve) delivers introductory youth golf programs directly at schools, community centers, and local golf course partners through before- or after-school enrichment programs, camps, family events, leagues and physical education programs. The programs incorporate multi-level, station-based learning curriculums that promote progressive skill development in sports along with academic subjects, life lessons, physical fitness, and rules and etiquette.

The program’s differentiator is the curriculum and how students participate in interactive STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) lessons that allow them to explore and relate concepts such as gravity, aerodynamics, and simple machines through the sports like golf that they are playing.

TGA’s three new entrepreneurs/franchise owners are excited about bringing TGA’s innovative and impactful programs into their communities:

  • Kevin Oliver Long Beach, CA
  • Rupal Cruv, Cleveland, OH
  • Mark Strangeland, Denver, CO

TGA is the only youth sports franchise program dedicated to the sport of golf, and the first to align with the American Development Model (ADM) created by the U.S. Olympic Committee, which stress the importance of age-appropriate activities that emphasize motor and foundational skill development, multi-sport participation, as well as a progressively challenging atmosphere.

INVESTING IN FUTURE GOLFERS

TGA recently completed a $750,000 curriculum and business infrastructure investment to streamline operations across its eight sports platforms including golf. The investment helps facilitate franchise growth and lays the foundation for future expansion strategies across the TGA system including 50-75 new franchises and increasing the number of programs from 7,200 to 15,000 by 2021. TGA currently has 125 franchises in 75 markets across 28 states. TGA is on target to register its ONE-MILLIONTH student by 2020.

TGA is making a mark in the golf industry with 68 percent of its participants and their families being new to the sport and funneling 42 percent of its total participants to golf facilities. TGA is spurring growth at the grassroots and golf course levels through this unique opportunity for entrepreneurs and professionals passionate about sports, youth and their community to own a sports franchise and become vested in the success of families and students by Changing Lives through Sports.
