ECCO® GOLF Introduces ECCO S-THREE

LONDONDERRY, NH)– ECCO – a leading manufacturer of innovative footwear – introduces the ECCO S-THREE hybrid golf shoe featuring an innovative midsole technology targeting three areas of the foot providing zonal support, dynamic comfort and performance during each golf movement.

Available for men and women, the S-THREE is crafted using ZONAL FLUIDFORM™ TECHNOLOGY to create a molded midsole with three distinct zones of softness to ensure the right balance of cushioning and stability exactly where golfers need it most.

“This breakthrough midsole technology gives the S-THREE some of the best performance features on the market, without sacrificing comfort or style,” says Jesper Thuen, General Manager, ECCO GOLF USA. “It is just the latest in a long line of innovations that have made ECCO GOLF one of the most trusted brands in golf footwear.”

The ZONAL FLUIDFORM TECHNOLOGY applied in the polyurethane midsole that creates three different zones with three separate levels of rigidity include:

  • Zone 1 – Comfort: Heel of the midsole is engineered for medium softness to ensure greater cushioning and comfort.
  • Zone 2 – Stability: Central part of the midsole has higher levels of rigidity to deliver lateral stability throughout the swing.
  • Zone 3 – Flexibility: Forefront of the midsole comes with the highest level of softness for guaranteed walking comfort and flexibility.

Due to the advanced multi-section injection process, the midsole of every pair of S-THREE shoes will have unique color transitions between the different sections, giving each pair of shoes a distinctive look.

The shoe’s uppers are crafted from thicker ECCO NAPPA leather, made in ECCO’s own tanneries, with 100% waterproof GORE-TEX® technology that keeps feet dry and comfortable in all conditions. They sit atop the award-winning ECCO DYNAMIC TRACTION SYSTEM™ (E-DTS™) outsole, providing more than 100 traction bars and 800 traction angles for excellent grip in all playing conditions.

A double layer of neoprene in the collar and heel provides increased padding for additional wearing comfort throughout the swing, while ECCO FLUIDFORM Direct Comfort Technology creates an integral, flexible and durable bond without the compromises common with conventionally stitched and/or glued assemblies.

Like all ECCO GOLF shoes, S-THREE is crafted at company-owned factories that utilize FLUIDFORM™ technology to bond the upper and outsole unit, creating a one-piece shoe without the use of glue or stitching. Benefits include flexibility, durability and a lightweight construction.
