Nippon Shaft Wins in Spain

CARLSBAD, CA – The native Spaniard who won the ISPS Handa Championship in his home country used Nippon Shaft’s N.S.PRO MODUS³ Hybrid Tour shaft in his utility iron.

The 38-year-old champion finished 15-under par with rounds of 67-68-68-62—265 at the Infinitum’s Lakes Course in Tarragona. It was his seventh victory on the DP World Tour, formerly known as the European Tour.

“Nippon Shaft would like to congratulate the winner of the ISPS Handa Championship on his second tour win this year,” said Hiro Fukuda, sales and marketing for Nippon Shaft. “We are glad he has confidence in Nippon Shaft’s breakthrough hybrid technology designed for use in the utility iron. The shaft combines the best qualities of steel and graphite and has become increasingly popular both on professional tours and with everyday golfers.”

More than 200 players on the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, European Tour and Korn Ferry Tour use Nippon Shaft’s MODUS³ series steel shafts to help gain their desired distance, accuracy, and trajectory.

Nippon Shaft products are available globally either as stock or custom shafts in many of the world’s top iron brands.
