Cobra Golf Introduces  New Black Finish for Those Who Want a Putter With Attitude

CARLSBAD, CA – COBRA Golf today introduced additions to its collection of KING Putters, making the offerings available in a sleek black colorway, the perfect complement to the brands Limited Edition Black LTDx drivers and KING Black wedges. The lineup of Black putters includes both KING 3D Printed and KING Vintage Series models along with two new mallet styles, the KING Cuda and Cuda-40.

With the expanded KING 3D Printed Putter lineup, customers now have more options to personalize their bag between the new black and the existing silver colorways – each available in three shapes.

Identical to the standard models, with the exception of the finish, Cobra’s black 3D Printed putters carry over the same technology with a 3D printed nylon lattice cartridge created using HP’s advanced Multi Jet Fusion printing technology. The 3D printed lattice structure optimizes the weight distribution within the putter chassis to deliver a high MOI design for enhanced stability and roll performance. The new models include the Agera 30 (Slant Neck OS Mallet) and Supernova 20 & 30 (Slant Neck OS Fangs).  Carryover models include the Grandsport-35 plumber, SuperNova single bend, and Agera single bend in black & silver colorways.

Along with the 3D Printed models COBRA is also offering a new “Cuda” mallet shape, and new hosel additions to the KING Vintage Series Putter line, all of which feature SIK Aluminum face inserts with Descending Loft Technology (DLT) as well as an Adjustable Weighting System that allows for simple weight adjustments (additional weights sold separately). The newest models include the KING Cuda, an oversized mallet with a single bend hosel, and the KING Cuda-40, with a short, slant, the KING Widesport (an oversized blade with single bend hosel), and the KING Stingray (an oversize mallet with a plumber neck hosel). Carryover KING models include the KING Sport-45 (classic blade with plumber neck hosel), the KING Sport-60 (with a flow neck hosel), the KING Nova (fang shape with single bend hosel), the KING Nova-40 (with short, slant hosel), the KING Stingray (oversized mallet with single bend shaft), and the KING Stingray-40 (with short slant hosel).

Omni Amelia Island Resort Debuts ‘Little Sandy’ Short Course

AMELIA ISLAND, FL – Omni Amelia Island Resort – the oceanfront destination nestled on 1,350 acres at the tip of a barrier island off the northeast Florida coast – has opened Little Sandy, the resort’s unique and entertaining 10-hole, par-3 course, and an accompanying 18-hole putting course.

Open to resort guests and members of The Amelia Island Club, Little Sandy features holes ranging from 70 to 125 yards. Playing through a picturesque lowland oak marsh habitat, the course seeks to provide a traditional, yet fun-focused golf experience for all ages and abilities.

Conveniently situated in the resort’s amenity core and nestled around Red Maple Lake, Little Sandy offers an idyllic setting as nearly all holes are played along the water amid sandy native grass areas, dunes, and diverse wildlife habitat. Designed to be played in little more than an hour, Little Sandy provides stand-alone fun, or it can be enjoyed after a round at Omni Amelia Island Resort’s revered 18-hole Oak Marsh course.

The newly constructed check-in location for Little Sandy features a shop with logoed merchandise and a food-and-beverage outlet offering comfortable seating on an expansive shaded porch overlooking the golf course.

Playability and an easy-going atmosphere will appeal to golfers of all skill levels while also offering strategic tests on bold, contoured greens. The design firm is also working on other Omni projects such as Omni PGA Frisco Resort which, when it opens in Spring 2023, will become the “Modern Home of American Golf.”

“Our golf experience is more welcoming than ever for all who stay with us on Amelia Island,” says Theo Schofield, Managing Director, Omni Amelia Island Resort. “We could not imagine a better complement to our championship layout, Oak Marsh, and we look forward to all guests enjoying Little Sandy as an entertaining and unique alternative.”

Completed in 1972, Oak Marsh Golf Course was designed by legendary architect Pete Dye. The layout is noted for its tight fairways and small greens, meandering along serpentine salt marsh creeks and through moss draped heritage oaks for which Amelia Island is famous.
