The Aldila Rogue ∞ Blue shaft has a smooth kick through the middle and a stout tip.  A “just right” choice for golfers who don’t want a shaft that’s too stiff or too active.  Premium materials give it great consistency.

Aldila Rogue ∞ Blue Shaft Review review

Introduction

Blue is the most popular color in the world.  It’s also the most popular in the familiar red/blue/white hierarchy of shafts.  Blue is the middle ground, the “just right” between the stiffer white and more active red.   After testing the new Rogue ∞ White [review HERE] and finding it a bit too demanding, will the Aldila Rogue ∞ Blue prove to be the ideal middle ground?  Let’s find out.

Looks

The graphics on the Rogue ∞ shafts are consistent across the four models.  Moderately sized Rogue branding sits in the middle of the shaft, with the “O” in “Rogue” swapped out for infinity symbol.  Gentle topographical map graphics sit between “Rogue” and the shaft specs.  My favorite part of these shafts, visually, is the wraparound infinity symbol at the butt end because it’s a “cut out” in the finish, a segment of raw graphite.  It’s a subtle difference, but I think it’s very cool.

The Aldila Rogue ∞ Blue features an alluring mix of blues blended with matte black.  The upper half of the shaft is a few shades brighter than your typical Crayola blue, just different enough to help it earn a second look.  This is paired with an electric blue on the Rogue branding.  I particularly like side shown above where the electric blue outlines the matte black “Rogue”. Feel

As you can see above, Aldila puts the “Precision Stiffness” code on each shaft.  The code is consistent across flexes, at least in the shafts I’ve seen.  Going from butt to tip, with 1 being the softest and 9 being the stiffest, the Rogue ∞ Blue is 9-5-8, the Rogue ∞ White is 6-9-8, the Rogue ∞ Red is 8-8-6, and the Rogue ∞ CB is 7-7-8.

This provides an interesting window into the differences between the Aldila Rogue ∞ Blue and White.  If we were to total the three points, the White is only one point stiffer.  However, there’s a big difference in how those points are allocated: the Rogue Infinity White is soft in the butt, the Rogue Infinity Blue is soft in the middle.

That one change gives the Aldila Rogue ∞ Blue a very different feel during the swing.  Where the White says, “Give me all you’ve got,” the Blue provides a smooth kick through the middle of the shaft, seemingly adding energy to your swing.  The Blue’s tip section is as stiff as that of the White, so you get the satisfying kick without the feeling of instability by the head.

Performance

Of all the new Aldila shafts, the Rogue ∞ Blue was the one that was easiest to swing for me.  There was no learning curve, and it worked with a variety of swings.  The results were very consistent from start to finish, and it gave me access to the widest range of shots.

That smooth mid kick is something I felt whether I was trying to baby the ball into the fairway or swinging near redline.  The “cost” of activating the Aldila Rogue ∞ Blue was not high, but it was able to hold up against heavy swings, too.  For me, this is the kind of shaft I want in the bag.  It works in all situations: when you’re feeling strong, when you’re trying to get creative, and when you’re worn down on the closing stretch.

For me, the ball flight with the Rogue Infinity Blue was similar to the White, just softer.  It launched fractionally higher and with more spin.  As a fairly low spin player, I was still getting good distance from this shaft, but it was toward the high end of what I’d like to see.  The ball speed did tick up slightly compared to the Rogue Infinity White, and I didn’t feel like I had to work as hard to get it.

Aldila Rogue ∞ Blue Shaft Review review

Whether it was the feel, the additional spin, or a combination of the two, the Aldila Rogue ∞ Blue made me feel like I had easy access to both cuts and draws.  While I don’t advise working it both ways if you’re trying to shoot your best scores, I do find this to be an important data point when evaluating a shaft.  For me, this shaft feels very versatile.  I had confidence that my draws wouldn’t turn into running hooks and that my cuts wouldn’t turn into double-crossed pulls.

The key technology powering the Aldila Rogue ∞ Blue is the same as the other Rogue Infinity shafts and other high end Mitsubishi shafts.  Dual Torque Core is a dual-layered construction that high-modulus fiber and pitch fiber to reduce torque and improve shaft stability while maintaining a smooth feel. This construction helps minimize unwanted shaft deformation and supports consistent club head delivery through impact.

Conclusion

Not too many shafts check as many boxes as the Aldila Rogue ∞ Blue.  This shaft has great feel, strong consistency, and it works for a wide variety of golfers and swings.  To get all this at a price far below most premium aftermarket shafts makes it a strong contender to be a best-seller as we head into 2027.
