The Wedge Guys React+ grip has a standout reminder feature – TrueTrack – and a reduced taper profile. Blends comfort with high performance.

Introduction
When I started playing golf, grips seemed to be divided neatly into two categories. You could have a soft, comfy grip that would last about three rounds and had all the traction of a Slip ‘N Slide, or you could have a high performance grip with all the cushioning and shock absorption of an old wooden rollercoaster.
Now, however, we’re living in a golden age of grips. Comfort and performance are no longer mutually exclusive. I tested the latest grip to promise the best of both worlds, the Wedge Guys React+, to see if it could find a place in my bag.

Looks
To my eye, the Wedge Guys React+ grip hits a nice middle ground between being a boring Tour Velvet-style grip and going over the top. The long, angular, white boxes on each side of the grip highlight the different textures, and you get the signature “Wedge Guys” branding at the butt end.
Everything else about this grip requires a closer look to appreciate. There are three distinct textures, making the grip as interesting to look at as it is in hand. For its initial release, the React+ grip is offered in just two traditional colors: blue and grey. [See Price / Buy]

Feel
Of all the Wedge Guys grips that I’ve tested so far, the React+ is the softest. Wedge Guys rate is a 4/5 for “Softness,” which aligns with my personal ratings. I put it at a 7.5 out of 10. For comparison, I rated the GLP Velvet [review HERE] at a 5. This grip doesn’t feel like you can squish it all the way to the shaft – there’s an underlying strength and structure – but it is very comfortable in the hands.
The Wedge Guys React+ also has a lot going on in terms of different textures. There’s the TrueTrack rib-style alignment feature across the back and DuoWrap Side Texture on both sides, which mirrors the feel of a wrap style grip. All these surfaces are very comfortable, offer plenty of traction, and provide ample cues for consistent hand placement.

Performance
Before getting into the more advanced features of the Wedge Guys React+ grip, let’s address the biggest question: can a comfortable grip provide good traction? In this case, the answer is yes. The combination of textures and light tack kept the React+ securely in place even when I was flailing away with driver. Is it fully the equal of a corded grip like the Diamond Hybrid [review HERE]? Not quite, but the difference is marginal in any reasonable conditions.
What’s more than marginal is the difference in comfort. I don’t have any issues playing firmer grips (yet), but the Wedge Guys React+ is noticeably more comfortable. Whether it’s on mishits or simply at the tail end of a long range session, my hands prefer React+. Wedge Guys’ proprietary rubber blend simply feels better to me.

There are two big things that set the Wedge Guys React+ grip apart from other Wedge Guys grips: +Profile and TrueTrack Alignment Ridge. The +Profile is a reduced taper shape that, as of this writing, is unique to the React+. This grip tapers from 27mm to 20mm where the Diamond Hybrid goes from 27mm to 19mm and the GLP Velvet from 28mm to 19mm. This is a small difference, but I prefer the more uniform feel between my hands, especially when I’m choking down to hit shots.
More obvious is the TrueTrack Alignment Ridge (above). This is Wedge Guys’ version of a reminder, and I like it better than traditional ribs. Where traditional ribs feel like a lump on the back of the grip, TrueTrack is more about the change in texture. This makes it very clear when you have your hand in the right spot, but it doesn’t change the way the grip feels in your hand. If, like me, you appreciate the concept of a reminder grip but don’t like conventional ribs, the Wedge Guys React+ is worth a try.

To test the durability of the Wedge Guys React+, I used them for at least ten shots every day, including excessive squeezing, re-gripping, and rubbing. This testing lasted for ten days to simulate over ten rounds of play. Obviously this isn’t perfect – some clubs get used multiple times per round, some may be used once – but it’s a reasonable estimate. After ten days, I compared the used grip to a new one and found ample life in the used grip. Some of the tack was gone – to be revived with a quick cleaning – but the texture and traction were still strong.
The Wedge Guys React+ grip is offered in three sizes: standard, midsize, and oversize. Each grip weights 49, 67, and 80 grams, respectively. Among the ten grips that I tested, the weight ranged from 66 to 68 grams, and only one grip was 68 grams. This reflects a tolerance of just one gram, which is the standard for the very best grips in the game. [See Price / Buy]

Conclusion
The first two Wedge Guys grips that I reviewed showed me that they are able to deliver high performance versions of classic grips at a lower price. The Wedge Guys React+ shows me they can innovate. From the unique rubber blend to the TrueTrack Alignment Ridge, this is a standout grip that will impress a wide array of golfers. [See Price / Buy]
The React+ was designed for golfers who demand consistency from the very first point of contact. Featuring DuoWrap side texture and integrated TrueTrack alignment, it promotes comfortable, repeatable hand placement and confident control. The +Profile reduced taper creates a more uniform lower-hand grip, improving stability and helping reduce excessive clubface rotation through impact.
