Takomo Launches Its First-Ever Putters With Low-Torque Lumo M1 and B1

FLOWER MOUND, TX – Takomo is entering the putter category for the fi rst time with the introduction of the Lumo M1 and Lumo B1, two low-torque putters built around technology and design know-how acquired from Finnish putter specialist Otso Golf.

The launch takes Takomo into an entirely new category, but rather than starting with a conventional collection of blades and mallets, the Finnish brand has built both models around a centre-of-gravity-balanced, low-torque design focused on greater stability through the stroke.
The M1 takes that approach into a mid-sized mallet profi le, designed to add stability on off -centre strikes and provide greater alignment confi dence at address. The B1 packages the same thinking into a wider blade, with its centre-of-gravity-balanced head designed to help keep the face square and reduce unwanted rotation through the stroke.

The result is a choice between the added footprint and stability of the M1 and the cleaner, more traditional appearance of the B1, without moving away from the same low-torque approach.
Construction is consistent across the range. Each head is fully milled from 303 stainless steel to deliver a soft, consistent feel and true roll. A mid-depth groove design is used on both models, while satin steel and DLC black fi nishes maintain the clean, understated aesthetic seen throughout Takomo’s wider equipment lineup.

The M1 and B1 are available in 33-, 34-, and 35-inch lengths, with head weights matched accordingly at 362g, 357g and 352g. Both feature 3° of loft and a 70° lie, while onset diff ers between the two shapes at 14mm in the M1 and 8mm in the B1.

A KBS CT Tour single-bend shaft is specifi ed in chrome or matte black, alongside a Takomo Edition SuperStroke 2.0 PT grip. The fi nishing details extend to a Kvadrat Ame textile headcover with magnetic closure and paracord attachment loop.

At $219 in satin steel and $239 in DLC black, the Lumo M1 and B1 give Takomo a distinctive entry into the putter category, bringing low-torque technology into two familiar head shapes without moving away from the straightforward design and pricing that have defi ned the brand elsewhere in the bag.

Across the collection, each model features Sun Mountain’s new Ergonomic Dual Strap System, full-length dividers, an internal compression bottom and dedicated storage for valuables, a rangefinder and beverages.

And while performance continues to be the E-Series calling card, the materials and colorways give golfers a range of distinct looks to fit their style.”
