Streamsong® Resort Unveils Highly Anticipated Third Course, Streamsong Black

Gil Hanse Brings Minimalist Design and Architecture Brilliance to Renowned Golf Destination

STREAMSONG, FL – The wait is finally over for Streamsong Resort and avid golfers across the country. One of the most anticipated course openings in recent years took place in Central Florida today as Streamsong Resort debuted its third course, Streamsong Black, designed by Gil Hanse, architect of the 2016 Olympic Golf Course. Golf industry leaders, journalists and guests were treated to the first rounds of golf on Streamsong Black before the resort welcomes public play on the new course beginning Friday, Sept. 29. Streamsong is now the only location in the world where players can enjoy three distinct courses designed by four legendary architects – Bill Coore and Ben Crenshaw (Streamsong Red), Tom Doak (Streamsong Blue) and Gil Hanse (Streamsong Black).

“The anticipation and buzz for Streamsong Black has been remarkable,” said Rich Mack, Streamsong’s sponsor and executive vice president of The Mosaic Company, which owns Streamsong. “From this expansive sandy site, Gil and his team have uncovered a dramatic course that fits its bold landscape and flows as if it has been here for years. We are ready to introduce Streamsong Black to the public and elevate our golf experience with three must-play courses that will rival the best golf venues in the world.”

Already home to two nationally-ranked courses – Streamsong Red and Streamsong Blue – Streamsong Resort has quickly emerged as one of the best golf destinations in the U.S. and is a bucket-list destination for most players.

Unlike Streamsong Red and Streamsong Blue’s intertwined layouts, Streamsong Black stands alone, stretching across a much larger landscape with far-reaching sightlines across the property. Players will marvel at the natural, flowing elevation changes with rolls, tumbles and ridges that differ from the resort’s first two designs.

Matrix® Maru Shafts Now Available Thru Authorized Dealers

ANAHEIM, CA – Matrix Shafts® is proud to announce their newest wood shaft series, MARU (Mar-ROO) are now available to the public through their Authorized Dealer Network. The Matrix Speed Ops Design Group has engineered two new, mid-launching and mid-spinning shaft profiles, utilizing Gradient Energy Flow(GEF) technology.

A golf shaft experiences the greatest amount of energy deformation under load. The GEF TECHNOLOGY featured in Matrix MARU allows for maximizing ball speed and Tour-type trajectory. It further enhances the stability of the shaft’s mid-section to minimize energy loss, transferring more power directly to the clubhead at impact. Each shaft has been specifically designed to optimize feel and performance based on swing type and speed.

MARU RED has a stout overall profile with an extra-stiff tip section. Ideal for more aggressive, high swing-speed players that prefer an extremely stable shaft with a firm feel, and a piercing, controlled ball flight. Available in 60g and 70g versions in S and X flex.

MARU GREEN has a smooth, consistent profile that provides maximum kick energy. Low torque results in great control and feedback for the player. Ideal for a wide range of players with smooth tempo swing types and speeds looking for responsive feel without sacrificing control. Available in 60g in R, S and X flexes, and in 70g in S and X flexes.
